I turn 40 in March and I’m looking for some ideas for what to do. I usually like to plan our winter vacation for that week but this year we decide to take a Disney cruise the month before.
I’d like to do something fun because it’s a big birthday and I don’t want to sit around being depressed at hitting another decade.
We have two kids and no one to watch them overnight, so anything we do needs to either be kid friendly or something DH and I can do during the work day while they’re at daycare. He suggested we get a limo and go into Boston to do something, but I don’t even know what. The other thing I thought of is to go to our favorite hotel/spa about 1.5 hours away. Either for the day by ourselves or overnight with the kids.
Any ideas for fun/special things to do in the Boston-ish area in March?
), or if you go into Boston you could go to your favorite museum and then get $$$ awesome lunch and then go buy something you've been wanting, like a fancy kitchen gadget or a new pair of boots? I recently did basically just that, although alone, as a late birthday celebration for myself, and it was so fun.
