We are visiting a friend in Paris over Christmas. We will be there six days. Any tips or things we shouldn't miss? Thanks!

Versaille!!!!!
I also recommend hitting a traditional department store...maybe some morning if you go out for a stroll without DH...cruise through printemps...so cool and I bet its fab all decorated for Christmas.
Also - my favorite random Paris experience was getting up early one morning (think it was a Saturday), grabbing a coffee and pastry and strolling through the cemetary where Jim Morrison is buried. It was just a cool place to be and it was neat to see the streets of Paris so quiet!

@AmeliaBedilia: The catacombs were amazing!.. as long as you aren't claustrophobic. The line is always long so get there early but it was probably one of the coolest things we have ever done on a trip

We had dinner inside the Eiffel Tower and it was amazing. I agree with Versailles--incredible! I also loved just finding little cafes and sitting outside. We walked around Montmartre and I really enjoyed that as well.

Check out the Christmas markets. They're cute little pop up markets that are only up around Christmas time and are so fun for random gifts or snacks. They're decorated really nice usually and sometimes have fun attractions like ice skating or carousels

There is a Louis Vuitton exhibit at the Grand Palais right now about the history of the brand. I so wish I could go see it! It's free, but highly recommended to reserve your ticket online.

Second chilling in Montmartre for people watching & just wandering the streets at night. We did random things like takeaways and picnic with wine under the Eiffel Tower - so much fun! Plus the wine is so cheap
it is definitely an inspiring place and I found it amazing for my soul! I bet you will have an amazing time!

Ooooh my heart is swelling with the idea of being back there. I agree with everything above but especially the eating and walking the streets. There are so many magical hidden gems!

Oh, I'm so jealous! We did a nighttime cruise down the Seine that was lovely. I also highly recommend breakfast at a restaurant called Les Philosophes - so cozy, in a lovely little side street area, and the mint tea is amazing. Also there's a restaurant called Chez Janou that has the most incredible chocolate mousse - they bring you a serving bowl that I swear to you is 18" across. And macarons from Laduree! Expensive and a long line but delicious and worth it just to see the display cases in the store of baked goods. Otherwise just make some time to sit at a café and have a drink and people watch.
I've just realized my whole list is food. I was 18 weeks pregnant last time I was there, clearly I had priorities.
