Hellobee Boards

My second was only a little bit bigger than my first, but I tore a little bit with each (both required stitches, but they weren't awful). I think I tore in the same place with the second as with the first, but to a smaller degree.
One thing that I think helped me tear less with the second was that I felt like I had much more control and a much better understanding of what was going on, so I did a better job of slowing down and stopping pushing as LO#2 was crowning, which helps to reduce tearing. Labor was faster, and pushing was WAY shorter (3 hours of pushing with LO#1, like 5 minutes of pushing with LO#2), and so I was a lot less tired and freaked out, and better able to follow the OB's directions about when and how hard to push.
