If you conceived your first the first cycle trying and didn't conceive first cycle for the second kid how long did it end up taking?
I was so set that it would take us the same short time span that now I'm fearing the worst! Just hoping to hear some reassurance that it hopefully won't take too long

LO1 wasn’t on the first cycle, but the 2nd which is still really fast. Currently pregnant with LO2 and it took almost a year. Hang in there! 
ETA I didn’t vote since we didn’t conceive on cycle 1.

first - pregnant first shot
second - pregnant first shot, then BO/miscarriage. Benched for 3 months, then got pregnant the 2nd month we really tried.

We got pregnant 3rd cycle but lost that one with early miscarriage. Ultimately conceived DD2 on the fifth cycle. However, I know our timing was horrible on the 1st cycle so it's probably more like 2nd/4th cycles if you don't count that one.

I got pregnant on the first cycle trying with DD. This time around it took 4 cycles. Still pretty fast but I naively thought I would get pregnant immediately again.

I got pregnant on the first cycle of NTNP with DD. I got pregnant again on the first cycle of my second pregnancy but then that ended in an early MC. Then it took 7 months before I got pregnant with DS

I'm 4 for 4 in terms of getting pregnant on my first cycle (but 2 losses)

LO1 was conceived first cycle (when I was 31) and LO2 was conceived in the 14th cycle (after two intervening losses when I was 36). I'm not sure how old you are but an RE I saw in connection with a postpartum issue I had said that he wasn't surprised at all that LO2 took around a year as that is fairly normal at 35 or later.

@MamaBear87: That's great you don't have that working agaisnt you. I think that was the biggest reason for my struggles (but in the end it worked out). Don't get discouraged!

Well, technically I got pregnant on cycle #5 and 6 when trying for number 2 but I lost both early on. I didn't get a prgnancy that stuck until month 10 and it required intervention.

Try not to worry - I got pregnant the first try with my first LO and so when that didn't happen the first month trying the second time I was worried. But it only took one more month and I'm 21 weeks with #2. It's hard not to freak out about things pretty outside our control but in all I've personally been very fortunate to get and stay pregnant easily. I hope the same for you!

First try for DS
For the second, first try but miscarried. After cleared to try again got pregnant second month.
For third, first try but miscarried. Tried again this month and I'm the TWW.
ETA I voted 4-6 months because for DD we started trying in May and it was October by the time a pregnancy stuck.

Not first month but only took 3 Months to get + with #1.
#2 took a long, long 2 years, 1 month.

First 3 times I was pregnant it happened the first try. This time is took 3 months. I used ovulation predictor kits each time.

My best advice would just be to lower your expectations and not freak out. There are so many things that have to work perfectly to conceive so if it takes some time that doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong.

I got pregnant with DS1 first cycle and started panicking when it didn't happen as easily the 2nd time. But I got pregnant the 2nd cycle so the worry was for naught. Good luck!

@BeatlesFan629: same timing here. I was 36 when LO2 was born, so that probably didn't help.

7 months, a MC, then 2 more months. A year total from when we started trying.
