What signs did you introduce once they really started picking it up? In the last two months he has caught onto signs and is really connecting them well--"more drink please," "more milk please" etc.
He knows more, milk, drink, please, mama, daddy, blueberries, love, kiss.

We have only taught A a few signs: milk, more, please...because she started sprouting off new words every day so we figured we would just focus on that. There are a few I would still like her to learn though because sometimes it's hard to understand some things that she wants, which can be frustrating for all of us!

We'd mostly did the basics: more, all done, milk, water, please, thank you, mama, dada, sorry, please, thank you. School did a lot of the teaching and we reinforced it. LO also learned all the colors in sign before she could say them, and some animals.

I think we added a few specific ones for things they liked such as ceiling fan, bird and dog. Sit down and bathroom became really handy though as they became older toddlers. I could use those plus please and thank you to offer reminders or ask questions in a non verbal way which was great in situations like library story time when they might not be sitting right with me or to prompt them to use their manners without being intrusive.

We only taught milk and more. My hubby isn't a believer in sign language.

We were totally utilitarian so: all done, more, water and potty! Maybe this time around I will add please too.

Sorry is a big one one my house... My DS still uses that daily toward his big sis even though he is 2 yr and has been verbal for quite a while now, haha.
He still does help, hurt, please, water, dog and crying too.

We didn't do sign language but taught DS1 to nod yes/no around 7 months and it was the most useful thing ever!

We did more, nurse, all done, eat, and drink. I wasn't into doing the nouns, but my daughter talked pretty early. The signs I did I found very, very useful.
