N ate some banana at about 6.5 months. It was half a banana with some of the peel cut away so he had a handle. After that I gave him puffs for practice before regularly giving him pieces of real food. I figure it would melt if he get it stuck in his throat but that never happened.

We've given her banana and avocado, but nothing else yet! I need to figure out our next steps too!

Puffs, mum-mums, very soft fruits like bananas starting around 7.5 months or so. By 9 months he was eating a lot of softer table foods.

I think it was closer to around 9 months. Tried at about 7 and it didn't work out so well. However she didn't have any solids til 6 months so maybe that's why? I don't know, she is totally taking her time with feeding related stuff in general.. (refuses to hold her own bottle, rarely drinks from a sippy cup, etc)

Oh, and also I waited longer because I was really nervous about her choking after she choked and puked while eating a peas and brown rice (store bought) puree. Turned out it was just the texture of that puree.

A few weeks ago maybe 6.5 months. We let her eat from a soft nectarine. She LOVED it. We've moved on to chunky purées and she does really well with them.

We are doing a combo and just started giving L food when we are eating this past week. He was yelling at me when I was eating! He still likes purées though.

Tried around 10 or 11 months and she didn't take to them. Then tried again just before 12 months and there was no turning back. Now she won't even eat applesauce or yogurt... just REAL food for her!!

I tried at 6.5 months with avocado and couldn't handle the mess Gave her a grilled zucchini slice at 7.5 months which she loved. We started doing a purée/BLW mix after that.

I started off with puffs at around 7 months when he was getting really bored of purees. A little after that we gave him soft fruits and vegetables like bananas, avocado, baked sweet potatoes, steamed diced carrots. He's 9 months now and we've started giving him bits of food off of our plate if we're eating something baby appropriate.
