DH thinks we won't have to worry about clothes for baby #2 because people will gift us stuff.... but I'm not so sure. We're team green so I want to have enough gender neutral clothes until 0-3 months so I don't have to worry about shopping when the baby is a newborn. But since we're team green I don't think people will be gifting us clothes.... if anything.
My mom will probably gift us furniture and my MIL will give us a few things though.

My SIL didn't have a sprinkle, but she had a second girl. We gifted a honest diaper package.

I didn't have a sprinkle for #2. I did receive gifts, but we weren't team green and definitely didn't get as many as first time around! I would focus on having the basics in terms of clothing.

We didn't have a sprinkle and we didn't get much of anything. My work was going to have a small gathering, but DS came before it and no one ever got me or gave me anything (and I never went back to work either, so that could be why). DH's job threw him a shower and they got him a giftcard, which was nice. But we didn't get much of anything else. Grandparents got DS an outfit or two after he was born, but that's it.

We don't have any plans for any sort of sprinkle/party and are just assuming we're not being gifted with anything, which is absolutely fine. I just plan to buy some gender neutral clothes. As for gear and stuff, we're pretty much set for at least the first couple of months.

I always bring something small (article of clothing, toy, etc) when I go to meet the baby no matter if its the first, second or twelfth!

I dont have two but from experience I do usually send a gift to welcome the new baby. If I am close enough to know something they need I would send that - but if I dont know something they need I always default to clothes! So I wouldn't worry about getting nothing....

We did get some presentsfor #2, although we were Team Green, so most of our stuff from DD got passed down to DS. Mostly, we got presents after DS was born, when people found out his sex and could send gender-specific gifts.

Yes, lots of people still gave us clothes. Maybe they will wait until after the birth to give you things - once you know the gender.

Hmmm we were team green with P & got almost no clothing before she was born. From what I gathered people here really prefer gender specific shopping 
Hope those in your circle are different though!!

I don't worry about not getting clothes, I actually don't expect to get much. I just wanted to make sure that's the norm so I can tell dh that its time to start shopping.

We didn't have a sprinkle and hardly got anything. We got some clothes at Baby Brother's bris but I was sort of sad for him that he didn't get much else. (in comparison his older brother got much more and nicer stuff at his bris). I guess that's what happens when you're the second...

people did give us gifts, but it was random stuff since we didn't have a registry. mostly clothes, a giftcard to a cleaning service, some shoes, diapers, receiving blankets.

Over here in the UK, we don't tend to have showers for even the first baby and registering for items is very, very rare. As a result, you tend to get gifts - usually clothing - when people come to visit the baby, whenever that might be. It is a pretty common complaint that most of the gifted clothes are newborn size and so don't get much, if any, wear! As a result, we have bought all our clothes now and anything we happen to get as a gift when she is here will be treated as a lovely bonus!
