I wore black yoga pants and nursing tops in the hospital. I hate the gowns.

I'd like to wear something nice this time too. Maybe a robe of my choice or something?

I wore a nightgown and threw a robe over it when there were visitors. I would suggest a kinda crappy cheap nightgown, easy to pull-down to breast-feed and do skin to skin that you won't be sad if you get blood and/or lanolin on it and a nicer robe. I have a lanolin stain on my new, super-soft night-gown.

I have this super long button up swim cover-up that's black so I just wore that like a rope with nursing bra and the giant underwear inside haha. The gown was annoying so I didn't want to wear it!

@Foodnerd81: I wore one of D's button down Hawaiian shirts most of the time When people came I put on yoga pants, and maybe a nursing tank.

@Foodnerd81: each time I have a baby I buy myself a really nice nursing nightgown and matching robe. Perfect for being comfortable, presentable, and accessible for nursing and checks.

With my first I lived in the gown. The second time I had more visitors and she had more doctors in and out for potential complications. I wore my maternity yoga pants over the mesh underwear, a nursing tank and a wrap cardigan. They only checked me once the day I delivered and once the day I was discharged.
ETA: I also brought my favorite LLBean wicked moccasin slippers and wore those around the hospital for DD's various tests.

I had both yoga pants and cheap, comfy pajama shorts for the bottom and nursing tank tops up top.

I wore a soft, loose pair of sweatpants and nursing tanks. I was in for 5 nights due to a c section so it might be a bit different but I was keen to get out of the gown and feel showered, fresh and dressed.
@Ms.Badger: off topic, but have you tried dishwashing detergent to get the lanolin out? It got ointment out of one of my dresses a few years ago. Took 3 washes but came up like new.

I didn't wear pants, but I really could have...they did not check me nearly as often this time around as I remember with LO1. I was also only in the hospital about 30 hours this time, so not a big deal either way.

I wore a soft, comfy tank, which I just pulled up or down when I needed to nurse. I wore a nursing sleep bra after I showered, but was bra less before that. I brought black yoga pants, and wore those after I showered, and wore a pair of pajama shorts the day before, but was honestly just in the mesh underwear for most of the day she was born. I wasn't getting out of bed much, I had blankets over me, it was easier.

I wore comfy shorts (kinda like running shorts but more casual), nursing tanks and a cardy.

A tank with a shelf bra in it and my comfy pj pants (they happen to be maternity so super soft and stretchy but not form fitting at all).

I lived in yoga/comfy pants and nursing tanks with a hoodie. But I had a c section, so no checking in the mesh undies.
