Do your kids sleep with you when they are sick?
LO 2 always wants to sleep with us when she doesn't feel well. We are usually too tired to try to keep her in her room!

My 3 year old won't settle and sleep in our bed, but when she can't sleep or is sick one of us sleeps in her bed with her- she has a full size bed. Usually it's dh since I haveto get up with the baby.
The baby won't really sleep in our bed and we haven't tried in ages. We end up just rocking her in her room.

I often will sleep with our older in her bed when she's sick. Particularly when there is vomiting involved. I'm convinced that I can minimize the mess by staying close.

Our 4 year old almost always comes to our bed in the middle of the night if she's sick. We have a king bed and she's a good snuggler so we just let her stay.

Yes if DD is sick I sleep with her.. we either take over our bed and dh sleeps downstairs or her and I go downstairs and sleep on the couch together (thank goodness we have an amazing couch--shout out to lovesac)

I would let him/them, but neither ds1 or ds2 can settle down in my bed. They prefer to be alone.

In times of illness/desperation, we've tried it. It doesn't work. She sits up and looks around in bewildered entranced wonder.

@valentinemommy @PawPrints: same! So I see the argument for cosleeping at least a bit when your baby is little-so they learn how to do it. Mine never has and doesn't know how to. Perhaps when she's older and in a big bed maybe she'll want to cuddle while she falls asleep or something although it doesn't seem likely with her personality the way it is right now. I babysit a boy whose parents cosleep whenever he is ill or sleeping rough and he naps on their bed on the weekends and stuff. He can just be cuddled to sleep. It makes me a bit jealous sometimes!

My LO doesn't seem to expect to sleep with us when she isn't feeling well, but I prefer it because I like to keep an eye on her.

My son has fallen asleep with me ONCE since he was a baby. He sprained his foot and woke up sore at 6am so I gave him medicine and he curled up and fell right to sleep with me. Never ever happens, but if he would actually be calm and sleep we would let him. As soon as he is in our bed he's usually crazy.

I remember when she had pneumonia as an infant and her pediatrician said I had to sleep in the same room as her that night. I was petrified because she never even let me open her door to check on her at night. There was absolutely no sleep that night. Now that LO is almost 4 she asks to sleep with us when she's sick. It still means a sleepless night.
