Did they visit after you had the baby? My brother came when LO was born and his visit was sooo nice. I don't think he has enough time off this time.

My bro and SIL flew in when she was two months old. It was perfect timing because I was still on mat leave but she was old enough (and had her shots) that we felt comfortable to get out and do stuff so they didn't have to just sit around the house with us all day.

No one did (my dad had offered though but since we live overseas from everyone we decided we'd rather wait and take her to visit everyone at the same time). I'm really happy about that though, I always seemed to be topless and trying to nurse her, so the lack of visitors really helped in that department.

My BFF SIL lives 40 minutes away and visited us in the hospital. We went to see BIL and SIL when he was 2 weeks old (2 hours away, they live near the airport we were taking my mother to), and my other BIL/SIL came down to meet him when he was 3 weeks old (6 hours away). None of the rest of my siblings have met him yet.

My sister lives 2 hours away & came to visit for a day & overnight when P was a week or two old. She just didn't have the time/ability to come sooner or stay longer. =(

My BIL and SIL and their daughter came when LO was about 3 weeks old. It was fun because I felt well enough to get out and do stuff with them.

I doubt either of my siblings in Montreal will come to Ontario to visit my future children.

My sister lives across the country so she didn't meet DS until he was 4 months old and she came for his christening. I didn't meet either of her two kids until their christenings as well.

My sister is planning on coming in May but nothing has been booked yet!

One brother lives on the other side of the country and I'm begging him NOT to come! It's such a huge production and I feel badly they'd spend all the time and money to make a trip when we already have plans to see them ~8 weeks later. The other bro is closer (4 hrs by car) and will probably come up the week after LO arrives.

When my nephew was born, I flew up two months later to meet him. When the 2nd was born, they came down a month after for my wedding. Now they live here so brother and SIL were able to meet R when she first came home.

With B, my sisters flew in when he was 6 weeks. E was 4 weeks when two of my sisters met her and my oldest sister met her when she was 5 months
4-6 weeks was perfect because I was finally adjusting to having a new baby. I wasn't uncomfortable like I was the first week when all of DH's family HAD to be at our house for hours upon hours.

My sister came down and spent the week at my parents house but was here every day helping out the entire first week after E was born. It was incredible and I hope that I can repay her someday for all the help she gave us.

I flew 4 hours south to visit my sister for a week the day after my nephew was born. She and her DH have an apartment attached to their house so I stayed there and just hung out during that week. I am sooooooo happy I got to meet him right away, but I wish I got to see them more often! I hope my sisters will be able to be there when my LOs come, or will be able to visit immediately after.

My BIL came when LO was born, but he's only a 2 hour drive. My sister was on vacation across the world, but she came when LO was a month old.

My sister flew in when LO was a week and a half old. My other sister and two brothers met her at six weeks when they came to town for her baptism. My husband's siblings met her at Christmas (3 weeks) and a family wedding (3.5 months).

They came down for Easter, which was just a couple weeks after DD was supposed to be here. It was going to be a combo see-the-baby-plus-Easter trip.
