I nursed my first when I was with him and he got bottles of pumped milk when I was at work, and I'm doing the same this time -- we're at 7 months so far. After EPing for one week while I took a strong antibiotic, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I am in awe of EPers. I HATED it.

I hope to Ebf #2. I had difficulty bfing Chloe and hope I have an easier time with our future children.

EBF for the second. I am hoping my schedule will work out because of my new job (teaching college). And I'm hoping to take a half load that first semester so the baby will be more than 6 months old by the time I go back full time.

I personally hated pumping and plan to avoid it like the plague.

As long as I am able to I plan to EBF all future LO's. It was so critical for DS's health that I couldn't imagine not with future children.

Yes I really hope to! I also hate pumping and would probably do formula rather than EP...I give major credit to all EP moms!

I BF until LO was 13 months. I had a very painful and difficult time the first few months with LO and then it was fine. We are expecting #2 at the end of the year and BF is probably what I am most nervous about so far. I hope to be able to BF with fewer difficulties than with #1. I don't think I will have the time or patience to suffer through difficult BF with #2, especially with 2 children to look after. I am hoping for the best but not setting any goals or expectations yet.

I will breastfeed any children I have, I love it so much! Although, I'm going to have to stop breastfeeding this one before I'm going to get another one, it looks like. Sooooo . . .

@Freckles: DD went on a bottle strike when she was 2.5 months old. I nursed her until my milk dried up when she was 15 months old bc I was pregnant with DS. She continued to comfort nurse all throughout my pregnancy and at 26 months old we're down to 1 session a day.

I decided there would be no repeat of this EBF nonsense with DS. So I pumped almost exclusively for the first 2 months. And nursed him right after his nighttime bottle to top him off and if he woke in the middle of the night. (he started STTN at 4 weeks).

UGH. At 2.5 months he went on a bottle strike. At 5+ months old he's EBF. I actually don't mind and kinda love it a lot Maybe because he's my last? Either way, it was nice pumping in the early months because I knew how much he was getting and he was always satiated.

If you decide to EP hopefully LO2 won't go on a bottle strike like mine did!

Yes, I would definitely EBF any future LOs. I never enjoyed pumping/cleaning bottles the few times I did it, so I was happy not to do it regularly.

I understand the feeling of being trapped, but from my perspective here on the "other side" of BFing (LO self-weaned just shy of 2.5 years), I would say stick with it! 13 mos is still really young. You're doing great to have gotten so far!

Probably. I would time the baby differently though so I wouldn't have to pump an entire year at work! It's the worst.
