How long did #2+ take?
I had contractions for a few hrs, then slowed/stopped for an hr, then for 2 more days until delivering my dd. My water didn't break and I think maybe that was why it took so long. Please tell me that's not likely to happen again!!!

I'm hoping for an easier labor with #2 too! Mine was 'only' 14 hrs, which I realize is pretty normal, but 3 hrs of that was pushing. I would like to not push again that long, please.
I'm thinking that if my labor is shorter that I might be able to get through it naturally this time.

My first labor was 49 hours non-stop from beginning to birth. My second is hard to say since I had to have a c/s due to live being breech but I dialated from 1 to 7 in a little over an hour so I doubt I would have labored much longer. It makes me super curious how long it will be this time!

What is considered long?
My first labor was 16 hours (I was induced).
My second labor, my DD was born less than 2 hours after getting to the hospital.

@googly-eyes: it actually wasn't, I had really bad back labor the whole time the first time and the second time even though the contractions started two minutes apart they didn't get painful until I was about to go into surgery.

I'm really hoping for a short labor next time. I'd even be happy with 15. Just please no 36 hour labor again, please...

@Arden: I had a 36 hour labor with DS, too. It was excruciating and I was so exhausted afterwards. Nothing could have prepared me for that.
I'm crossing my fingers that this upcoming birth is even just half as long. Preferably shorter than that!

@Rainbow Sprinkles: hmm...I was going to say 24 hrs + at first but then when I thought about it I couldn't figure that out.. So I left it open. I guess anything longer than the average 12(?) or so hours?
@cyndistar3: that's encouraging to hear! Are you going to try for a vbac then? I'm curious to see what happens!
@jedeve: wow, 3rd tri already! It probably feels longer to you though. Interested to see what happens for you as well! Good luck.
