I'm 35w5d and baby is still breech so it's looking more and more like I'm going to have a scheduled c-section. We're still not sure when it'll happen, though.
For those of you who had one for any reason, how many weeks pregnant were you when you did?

39 weeks and I ended up having her at 38 weeks. My bp was up and my Dr was like, we aren't waiting. She ended up being almost 9 lbs, so it all worked out and was good.

@night cheese: I had it scheduled for 39w 1d. And FWIW, my baby was breech at my 38w appointment and when he did the c-section, she had flipped between then and was heads down(I didn't have a c-section because she was breech. It was a repeat since I had one 15 months earlier) so baby may still flip!
Also, not sure if you found it, but @Dandelion: started a thread a while ago that has tons of stories about csections.

40+2. My OB won't schedule them before 40 weeks unless there is an urgent medical need to do so.

37 weeks. Due to a previous fibroid surgery the risk of uterine rupture was too high for me to labor. I was worried about it being early but everything went great for baby and me.

I had one scheduled for 39w5d although it could have been any point after 39w, that's just what was left on their calendar. Later he wanted to move it up to 39w exactly but I ended up being induced at 38w5d.

39 weeks exactly due to breech. My OB would not schedule sooner, but if baby is still breech, they want to do it before your EDD so you don't go into labor on your own.

@GrapeCrush: Same thing with us. M was sideways all through my third trimester, but my OB opened me up and his head was right there.

40+1 - I wanted her to cook for the full 40 weeks. Luckily had absolutely no signs of labour. She was breech too.

DS1 - 39 weeks - that's the earliest they will schedule a c section unless it becomes medically necessary to do it earlier.
DS2 was also scheduled at 39 weeks but bumped up because of low fluid.

@BeachMama: I just felt like I would have liked to give him the extra time to try and flip. Also, it took him almost a week to fully clear the meconium and it was terrible. He obviously had a rough few days trying to pass it and I just have a feeling the extra week might have just helped mature his digestive tract a little more. I was just so in shock about having to have a csection that I fell apart instead of following my gut. Maybe it wouldn't have mattered, but it wouldn't have hurt. I was not effaced or dilated , I'd never had even so much as a BH contraction, so I doubt I would have gone into labor in that time.

@night cheese: My doctor would only schedule my c-section during my 39th week. With my daughter (breech), our due date was 12/30 and she was born on 12/27 on her scheduled c-section date. With my son, I was due on 8/14, but I went into labor early...my water broke and everything...but he was still born via a c-section on 7/31.

My c section was scheduled for 38 weeks (twin pregnancy), but I ended up going into labor at 36w6d and delivered at exactly 37 weeks. We did the c section after I went into labor since one of the babies was breech.

I had a scheduled c-section for breech as well. I convinced my OB to not schedule it until 42 weeks...don't ask me why! But then my water broke at 38 weeks.

I was 38+5 days when I went into labour. I would have had her at 39 weeks exactly but she was too impatient and arrived by semi-emergency c-section 2 days early!

Mine was scheduled for 39 weeks, but little man came at 34+6. He was breech, and when my contractions got bad, about 4 hours after my water broke, they did the surgery.

39+3 for a breech baby. Scheduled it a couple weeks before that when she was still breech. (Sidenote, she did end up flipping the Friday before the Tuesday scheduled c-section, but we decided to keep the scheduled c-section).

LO was breech and my water broke at 38 weeks. I had not scheduled a csection because we had scheduled to try to have him flipped but he came the day before. My plan was to fight not to schedule at all because it was very important to me that my body go into labor first - I wanted to know he was ready. I am sure it would have been a fight w/ the drs but personally I wasn't concerned

I had a scheduled csection with my first born because he was breech - had the csection at 39w5d.
I'm 30 weeks along with my second baby and have a repeat csection scheduled for when I'm 39w1d, unless I go into labor on my own before then.

Going in for mine tomorrow at 41+2 but, that's because I was hoping for a VBAC and this is the latest my OB would let me wait. Much different than a breech babe.

I had one scheduled at 36+4 because of my unicornuate (half sized) uterus. Baby decided he wanted to be born at 35w, so they did a RCS.

@DesertDreams88: not at all! I have a unicorunate uterus with an attached horn and my first baby decided to implant in the horn and ruptured it at 22 weeks. I had an emergency exploratory laparotomy and they confirmed my diagnosis.

I was 39w4d, but I didn't find out my son was breech until I was 39w. I think they would have done it a few days sooner if they'd known sooner.
