Let's just assume that you can't say Europe.
If you had to pick just one continent to visit for the next five years, which continent would it be?

ASIA, I want to say AFRICA but I haven't been anywhere there so I'm not sure yet though its a dream of mine. I have been to Thailand and Cambodia however and fell so in love with both of those countries that I know I could be happy there for five years. Not to mention I LOVE the food. I was also in India and I loved the food and beauty but it was too insane for me to live there for long.

Asia, I guess. We're already living here but there are so many places we haven't yet visited that we would like to see.

North America, because I'm assuming you mean actually traveling around and there are so many places here I want to see!
Second would be South America, I am fluent in Spanish so it would be something new and fun but I would be able to fully communicate and understand my surroundings (:

Definitely Africa. I really, really, really (like, REALLY! haha) want to go to Egypt for our 5th anniversary. The political unrest is really first world probleming my plan.

To work and live? It would be Asia. Purely for travel, then South America.

Africa! I've spent some time in Kenya and loved it! I would love to go back (to Africa as a whole, not just Kenya specifically) and spend some time there doing humanitarian work.
There would also be so many amazing things to do as separate holidays as well:
- gorilla trekking in Uganda
- seeing the lemurs of Madagascar
- visiting Victoria Falls and swimming in the Devil's Pool
- whitewater rafting down the Zambezi
- Exploring the Okavango Delta in a canoe
- Cape Town
- crossing the Namib Desert
- holidaying in the Seychelles
The list could go on and on....

I'd say Asia. Hong Kong, China, Japan, Thailand all sound like wonderful places to visit.
Or maybe Australia. The Great Barrier Reef would be a sight to behold. I've heard there is fabulous antiquing in New Zealand. And since the French Polynesian islands are sometimes included with Australia (depending on your source), I'd love to visit Bora Bora.

@PointeShoesTutus: just say Oceania, that's everything down in our neck of the world. Us Kiwis get a little bit uppity when we're lumped in with Australia (it's like a USA/Canada thing).
I would have said Europe, but I'll go with North America. So many things I'd like to see!

Probably Africa but am tempted to pick South America too.
But we are having a baby early next year so I don't plan to do much travel at all for awhile! Not interested in schlepping an infant or a toddler around any airports. I traveled a lot during the past 12 months and am happy to stay put for awhile now.

Asia! I've been to Thailand, Cambodia and China, but there is still so much to explore!

South America for sure. Dh is Ecuadorian so we'd have a free place to stay
The next five trips I have planned in my head are in south America, anyways...

If Europe isn't an option then definitely Asia! So many countries I want to visit just for FOOD!

Australia! Asia is a close second.
Although my true first choice would be Europe!
ETA: @SweetMamaM: Make that Oceania!

@SweetMamaM: Then that's my answer! Oceania, for sure! I've been to Australia twice, but still am dying to see New Zealand and so many of the islands and atolls in the South Pacific. So, yeah...Oceania!

@littlebug: Definitely Oceania too! All my dream vacations are in that area. Second would be Asia because I've only been to Japan. Need to do some more exploring there!

Australia! I fell in love with it and trying to get DH to get a job there!

Asia. I spent nearly six months backpacking in Asia when I was 21, but there's still SO much that I'd like to see and some places I'd like to revisit.

Ooh, this is hard! I am a sucker for an awesome beach, so South America, Asia, and Oceania are all contenders. I'd say Asia for the win, due to Thailand's beaches.

South America! I really want to go to Patagonia and Buenos Aires! I also want to explore Brazil and Ecuador. I'd also love to go back to Peru. And see the salt flats in Bolivia!

@mamabear57: oops didn't realize that was frownie worthy!! Was meant as a hypothetical!

@mrbee: But I really wanted to go back to Europe. I take back my frownie face.

@mamabear57: I only took it off the list so that everyone didn't give the same answer!
