did it ever end? The peanut gallery comments?! 
We just found out we are having DS#2 last week! And the "you have to go for the girl" comments have already begun! You know, like we should base our family plans around chasing a particular sex, or that it's a controllable outcome!
We'll probably have three kids because we've always been a two maybe three family, but I am bracing myself for the never-ending comments!

Well, I'm opposite but the peanut gallery comments about being done now that we will have one of each keep coming. It's annoying either way I think! We also plan on having three kids so I don't know how to respond. I usually just shake my head.

Following. As you know, we're due around the same time and also are having a second boy.
The comments are NON stop. Like you, we are also planning on more than 2, but I can not imagine how the comments will go if #3 is a boy as well. It's SO annoying and frustrating. People are so insensitive.

No ,it doesn't end. We get a lot of comments from family and close friends about DH's sperm and inability to produce a male, how we need to try for a boy, etc. Fun!

Yes, I have two boys and I hear it all the time. I also want a third, but not because I'm going for the girl. I'm pretty sure we'll end up with another boy! And that's fine by me.

@mrsjyw: yes all time. When i was pregnant with d i had strangers tell me they hoped it was a girk since i had a boy. Soooo ridiculous. We want more tben 2 but not for gender reasons but iknow i sll hear trying for a girl comments.

When we first found out we were having another girl, we got a "well you can always try again for a boy" as if it was a disappointment, I usually nipped that right in the bud and explained were happy with our 2 girls and if we decide we want a 3rd it's because we want another child not because we need a boy. I do not want to try for a boy and then have it be a disappointment if we have another girl, I think that's just sad.

Logan's only 3 months, but nope, the comments don't stop. I mean, after I shut them down, they stop from those particular people, but other people continue to comment. I guess once I've told every single person on the planet that we're two and through and have no interest in "trying for a girl", then I won't hear those comments anymore?

Congrats on your second boy!
These type of comments annoy the crap out of me. I get them now saying that everyone is hoping our second is a girl since I already have a boy. I shut people down saying that we tried very hard for both kids, and we will be thrilled with two boys or a boy and a girl. It truly doesn't matter to us.

Someone at the library saw Asked if ds2 was a boy or a girl, I said boy. She said "oh that's too bad."
I just tell people I love my boys. Seems to shut them up.

I had a few people tell me they were happy two was a girl because it meant we'd try for three. I guess they hope we have a big family

@LuLu Mom: this is exactly how I feel. I might try for a third child, after we see if we can survive two and if I feel like a third may make our family even more complete. But we won't be "trying for a boy." We don't have any control over that (why do people think we do???)!!!!

Oh no! We just found out we are having another boy Friday but haven't heard that comment yet, granted maybe only 10-15 people or so know, but it's been more like, yay brothers! We are done after this though so it's all men in my life, so I will shut those comments down if I get them.

@2PeasinaPod: yep, I heard the same from a lot of family and even close friends. I know they mean well. But with a CP and numerous losses in our circle of friends, we are grateful for a healthy BABY. I'm glad we're having a boy, especially for all the ones who were obsessed with "it HAS to be a girl" notion.

I think it was worse when I was pregnant and just after lo2 was born. Or maybe it just seemed that way because we've been so cooped up this winter. What I do notice a lot though is people assume lo2 is a girl. It was really bad when he was a newborn and in his gender neutral clothes but people still do it all the time.

I'm having opposites but I must say I am so annoyed and disgusted by those kinds of comments. It's truly disrespectful to the new little life you are growing. I was sure I would have two boys and bracing myself for idiots to say things like that especially since this is more than likely our last. I'm sorry you are getting that. Plus having more does not guarantee anything but more obnoxious comments from others as you wait to find out. My friend had four boys and they are all such unique little people. I just reminded myself not only how awesome it was to have a sibling of my gender but also how amazing each new life and personality is. I also planned to remind people that gender is not based on sex organs but how we feel and who we are in our souls. It's obnoxious how much emphasis people put on it. Congratulations on your sweet little boy.

We're always TG, but right after DD2 was born, multiple people's response was, "oh no! Poor DH!" He got really offended by it.
We're planning to have at least one more, and we were both excited that these two little ones relatively close in age were the same sex! Built-in besties (hopefully)!

We haven't had any comments like that, but now that I am pregnant with #3, people are FREAKING OUT at the possibility that we could have 3 girls. You know, because the world would catastrophically implode if we had 3 girls. The horror!

I've only gotten a few so far. We're two and through. So, we're a two boy family. I'm happy with it. I know that my MIL wasn't happy about not having a girl and made it clear throughout DH's childhood especially when he started dating too. I have no intentions of acting that way since I'll be a two boy mom.

Ughhhhhhhh I HATE this. We already have a boy and haven't found out about #2 yet but are honestly 50/50 on boy/girl. We just want a healthy baby too! And if it is a boy I feel no need to try for a girl. Someone actually told me that I would probably regret it if I never had a girl. WHAT? So I'm just supposed to keep having more and more until I get one? It's insanity.
