I just accepted a new position at my job that comes with a decent raise, and the first thing I am doing with it is hiring someone to help out cleaning the house! But I've never had someone like this so I'm curious - what chores do you have your cleaning person do? How often do they come?

They come every other week and do everything but laundry.

Every other week...everything but laundry except bed linens. They always change the bed.

I had my gal come every other week. Floors, windows, dusting, bathrooms. The basic. She would do anything but dishes.

She comes every other week and does anything but laundry. She used to laundry, too, but I wanted to cut back a little on expenses and so I had her do less.
@Mrs Green Grass: My lady will change the bedsheets if I leave out the clean ones, too.
If my house isn't too dirty to begin with, she'll even get some deep cleaning done..baseboards and behind big furniture.

vacuum, dust, clean hardwood floors, bathroom and kitchen, wash and fold all laundry, change sheets and make the bed.

Every other week- bathrooms, dusting, floors. She even will brush our dog, after she asked me if it was alright.

She does everything (vacuum, dust, mop, bathrooms, kitchen, etc) and she offered to throw our sheets in the wash but DH didn't want her to.

She comes 3 times a week for 8 hours each day. She does everything...laundry, ironing, floors, changes all the bed linens, dishes...everything. She also watches LO if I have to run out for a quick errand. We live in Beijing so this is considered normal.

Everything except clothing laundry, but she does do bed linens and towels. We only have her coming once a month right now, but I might increase it, especially since we'll be saving money on childcare when I'm off over the summer. Of course, since I'm off, I guess I should be the one cleaning, but I DON'T WANNA!

We only have ours come once a month, but it makes such a difference! She deep cleans the kitchen and the 2 bathrooms, dusts, vacuums and mops. It takes her about 3 hours for our 1200 square foot condo.

Best decision ever! My husband and I always say that even if we both lose our jobs we are keeping the cleaning lady. Fa real!
Ours comes every other week and does everything but windows-- she does change the sheets that I put out for her.The kitchen looks brand new and I love coming home from work every other Wednesday

I wish I could justify someone coming once a month or once every once in a while to clean my house but I think first we need to get properly settled in our new house first. Enjoy this!

once a month: floors, bathroom, change sheets, refrigerator, counters, dusting, dishes if there are any, scrubs oven and microwave.

I'm getting my whole house spring cleaned today! Had to pay extra for baseboards and windows.

every 2 weeks, EVERYTHING except laundry. i've never seen my apartment as clean as it is after she cleans it.

@Sugar.Biscuit: I really don't know how I convinced DH to do it. It wasn't cheap, but I'm so excited about having a clean house!

@mamabolt: this is an EXCELLENT use of extra money.. it will change your life!! hehe. We used to have a team come once a month and they did everything except laundry, the inside of the fridge and oven, and ceilings/walls.
Sadly it's not in our budget anymore so now my weekends are quite busy with cleaning
and no more deep cleaning. Hopefully we'll move soon so we'll just let things get super dirty and then just move. Haha. Just kidding... kinda.
