Do you put fresh sheets on it when guests are coming? Or just put clean sheets after someone leaves and leave them on there until the next guest comes, even if it means they will be on there for a while?
I've never had a guest room before (and I won't for long-- it's the baby's room when it's born, but we have a queen bed in there). It's not gross to have sheets on there for a month or so, unused, and then have someone sleep in them, right?
Also what do I think this is, Downton Abbey?

I change them right after a guest leaves and they stay on until the next guest comes.

@Running Elley: Not only Mrs. Hughes, but a chamber maid to change said sheets. And a proper ladies maid to dress me and brush my hair and bring my breakfast in bed-- I am a married woman after all!

Haha I use to wash them before and after a guest stays at our place but I have gotten lazy since we had our baby and figured that having fresh sheets was better than stale sheets, so now I only change/wash them right before guest comes.

We put clean sheets on and leave them on until a guest sleeps in there and then we change the bed ready for another eventual guest.

I wash after guest leaves and also before a guest comes if they have been on there for awhile (like a month). IDK though now that the baby is here. DH's parents have been the only ones staying with us on & off and they wash it themselves now! I haven't washed them in between since they're the same people coming every other week!

We only have an air mattress, but if we had a bed all the time I'd probably wash after someone was there. Alternately, you can just not put the sheets back on the bed until someone is coming? So comforter only to make it look nice.

It's so rare that we have an over-mightier, so I leave everything as it is....and then, if someone is coming, I'll go in there the night before and strip the bed, vacuum...all that.

I usually wash them before and after. We have guests at least every three months for a couple nights. I like to keep the bed made when no one is here and sometimes the dogs jump on it.

I usually strip the bed right after they leave and make it up again then. Right now there's no sheets on it though, MIL put the quilt back on after she stripped the bed and I never remade it.

We have a guest futon. So when people leave we take the sheets off and turn it into a couch.

I usually make the bed after the guest leaves, and then wash them before a new guest comes. Sometimes it's my mom coming two times i a row for 1 or 2 night so I don't wash them in between.

I take the sheets off and pile them on the floor. Then I'll wash them right before someone comes.

I cover fresh sheets with another sheet to keep the dust off. We don't get many guests. If somehow the cover is off, then I re-wash the sheets before guests come.
