I just realized my DS has a bit more clothes than DD. I guess I love clothes with animal print and so I grabbed clothes with dogs and animals that were usually meant for boys. While girl clothing was pink and purples with polka dots that were kinda boring.
When I shop, I try to shop for both but I realized in the end I don't make it even.

I am an equal opportunity spender when it comes to them. But I will say I spend more on my boy because he's growing slower so he'll wear a t-shirt for a full year, sometimes 1.5 years. So I don't mind buying better quality due to frequent washings. My daughter has a lot of trendy "disposable" clothing, at almost 2 she's still pretty messy and growing fast.

They have about the same right now but DS usually has less during the summer. He likes loose v-necks and polos with shorts whereas DDs have a big variety of rompers, dresses, and shorts.

So far, I think they have about the same amount of clothes. I actually find it harder to shop for girls. There are a ton of cute things, but not a ton of cute practical things that aren't going to get ruined at daycare.

Its hard to say. DD its easier because she likes cute dresses and appreciates new clothes. Also a lot of her clothes are handme downs so I really appreciate when I get to pick something out for her. DS needs more but I dont often find cute stuff for boys that I'm willing to spend that much money on.

I feel like DD (1 year) has way more clothes than DS (almost 3 years). I find it a lot easier to shop for DD and it seems as though she gets more clothes as presents while DS gets more toys as presents during birthdays and holidays.

My son (eek! So crazy to say that out loud) isn't here yet but I can already tell it's gonna be way easier shopping for my daughter. Girl clothes are so just damn cute and I can't resist buying her dresses ... Boys clothes seem more blah in comparison.

A bit off topic but shopping for my sister's boy/girl twins has taught me how different sizing is when you get to toddlers - boys t shirts are cut generously, girls are tight and stretchy, even at 2T-5T. Ridiculous!

For me boys are easier - grab some shorts, tops, and sneakers and you are done!
For girls - you need dresses, rompers, shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, sneakers, mary janes, sandals, etc etc

@pinkcupcake: Yeah, I'm the opposite. I think all the pink and purple is kinda boring for my daughter.
@Mrs. Tiger: Ugh! Don't tell me this. I put all the 6M clothes together and pull it out at the same time when I need to go up in size. DD is slightly smaller than DS, so I'll just have to wait a bit before pulling the next size for DD.

I had to buy all new for DS but was given a ton of nice hand me downs for DD so ice probably spent more on DS (though I do my fair share of shopping for DD

I think it depends on age. I love little boy clothes but I struggle finding cute clothes for my 3 year old. For DD, she is easy to buy for because she doesn't really destroy clothes like the 3 year old.

@Mrs. Tiger: I hate that about toddler clothing sizes! I have an older girl and younger boy, and find it much easier to shop for boy things. I tend to prefer neutral palates and boy style clothes, but now that my daughter is older (and she's petite) the boy clothes are just way too huge.
