Do you hurt for them?
My cousin is in labor right now and I just think OW! (Course that's not what I told her...said good luck and we are praying). But as tired as I am with a baby and a toddler...I am just so happy I am not feeling like my hips are being ripped open right now.

Nope! I didn't before having babies of my own, and I don't now, either. I kinda cringe if they tell me details afterwards, though (like, 10+ lb baby, or 3rd+ degree tears, etc.).

Nope. I loved giving birth, as hard as it was. I get excited for them, and hope for an amazing outcome.

I'm usually thinking, poor thing. And every hour that goes by without a phone call I'm thinking, oh no she is still laboring! Maybe I'll feel differently about it after I've done it myself.

No. I loved my labor and birth experience so I get excited for them and hope for a great experience! Obviously o ha an epidural lol.

Kind of mix feelings. 
Happy they get to finally meet their baby soon and scared/worried that something will go wrong. I don't really feel hurt for them.
@simplyfelicity: Big hugs!! Before I had my first... I was really scared too. One thing that helped me but might not help you ... was I told myself all I have to do is get through that one day and I will get to meet my baby!

Excited for them but also like "Whoa you have no idea what you're getting into"! Babies are great but I remember the first night at the hospital was nerve wracking and crazy. I had no idea what I was doing and it was tough.

@simplyfelicity: Don't worry!! I was induced with T and labored naturally for 12 hours and honestly, it wasn't as painful as people worked it up to be. So you never know!

Maybe I'm the odd one out! Don't get me wrong, I am excited for them. But I also think back to my labors and I feel for her!
@Danizaur: it is tough! I think it drove me a little crazy when people were all, "omg fun baby yay!!!!" when I was in pain and sleep deprived and struggling.
Everytime DH hears about someone in labor he always says he is so glad he's not them. I think my first birth traumatized him a bit. He said it was the hardest thing *he* has ever been through!
@simplyfelicity: every birth is different! My first sad really rough but my second was smooth sailing (painful for sure, but it just went smoothly.)
