I stay home with the girls so we don't have a regular sitter or nanny. I do ask my mom to help out on a weekly basis though. She will watch the girls (at her house) so I can go to appointments, run errands etc. It's really helpful! I feel bad asking her sometimes but she really is my best option.

When I was a SAHM, I had a mothers helper once a week for 4 hours. It was nice!

I have her in daycare 2 half days most weeks. I'm still wrapping up my final photography tasks right now while she's in daycare but when I'm done I will still send her.

DD1 is in part time preschool, but other than that I have no help. My family is too far away and DH's is too busy.

My sister lives with us, and she is able to help with the kids when she is out of class.

When I was home, I had a nanny for 4 hours a week. It allowed me just enough time to get a few things done.

I have a nanny 2 days per week. Ideally i would have her only 1 day or 2 half days. But that's hard to find (someone looking for those hours).
It's a total luxury, but it helps me feel like myself. I don't need it as much now since I'm very comfortable and happy being a mom. But in the early days of PPD it was crucial for my mental wellbeing. -
I went back to work in September, but had a year off for maternity leave. We've had my mom come 3 days a week since DS was 4 months old and now she watches him those 3 days while I work. But we pay her for her time because she needs the income.
When I was at home, my mom was more of a mommy's helper in that I was always around the baby - she would cook or tidy the house or watch the baby while I slept. But I could run out for errands or we'd go on stroller walks together and I had some company at home while I was in the depths of PPD/PPA and DH was going through a super busy time at work. It also gave DH and I chance to have a weekly date night. It was definitely a luxury, but my mom needed the work and I really needed to take care of my mental health between having an extremely colicky reflux baby, long term sleep deprivation, and PPD/PPA. It was totally worth it.

I SAH but I'm in grad school as well so this semester I found a nanny share for about 10 hours a week. It's been really helpful to not have to do all my schoolwork/housework/errands at night and on the weekends. I wish we had family close by to help!

I didn't have any childcare help until she started 2x week preschool last year.

Well, DH is out of work right now so technically I have help. Before that we didn't have any.

The last two years we lived far from home, and so we depended on a couple coworkers and their older kids. Awesome sitters, those kids!
Now we're home again, and she's mosty been watched by my mom when not at daycare. My sisters have also taken turns and my brother in law. -
Rarely. I occasionally trade childcare with a friend, but not very often at all.

None right now. Our families are far away, for the most part. BIL and his GF will watch her on occasion, if we have something we both have to go to without her, but it's rare.
My toddler is starting a once a week, two hour, drop off program next week and I'm excited for both of us. And she will stay in it after the new baby is born in December so I'll have two hours a week with just the baby.

None. I really miss having family nearby!
LO does take a nice long nap so I have time to myself in the afternoon (I use that time to work from home mostly). But it would be nice to run errands without her!

I didn't at all until the younger started preschool. Now when they are both at school I hustle to get everything I need done. It's been amazing for my mental wellbeing!

Never, if you mean help that gives me time with no kids at all. I'm on mat leave, and my older daughter goes to Bright Horizons drop in care sometimes (usually Wednesdays) if they have a spot. But I still have my baby with me.
Every appointment I have been to in the last 2 years has been with a kid (now 2) in tow. It kinda sucks, if I'm being honest.
Eta: even when I'm working, because of my child care situation, I get 0 non work time without my kids.

Never turned rarely. We moved nearer my family in the last year, and now my mom watches them maybe once every few months for a morning or afternoon.

Maybe once a month DH's parents will take her for a day. I have hired a babysitter for a couple of things DD couldn't go to. But other than that - nothing.

Technically I have two hours with a mother's helper but I am thinking about canceling it. She's young and can only do late afternoon and by then my lo is in full on mama mode and I wind up chatting with a 13 year old... Otherwise though I do not have any childcare help aside from my husband.

None. We have no one near by. This momma flies solo most of the week as well.

LO1 goes to preschool 3 mornings/week. LO2 goes to a drop-in care/MOPS sort of thing 2 mornings/week that overlap with LO1. We have no family anywhere close.

My mom comes once a week so I can get things done around the house. But I don't feel bad because she loves it. She'd come every day if I and her work schedule would allow it.
