I sold my first dress that I didn't wear on OnceWed. The lady ended up being local, so I didn't even have to ship it!

I consigned it with one of my best friends who owns a consignment shop! I don't know where you live, but if you're local to Atlanta, you should totally contact her! http://fabulousfrocksofatlanta.com/ There are sister shops in Charleston, SC and Alexandria, VA.

I only listed on WB for a few weeks. No bites. Need to check some of these out!

@JoJoGirl: how long? Mine was up for over a year and I got 4 bites but no offers.

@locavore_mama: I had to keep reducing the price. Once it got below $300 (ouch) it sold in a couple of weeks. I paid $920 for it and put in $500 worth of alterations AND included $100 worth of accessories. But now they are all out of my house.

@JoJoGirl: So, can I ask your opinion?
I paid $3600 for my wedding dress. It's the Monique Lhllulier Calista, in ivory over an ivory sheath. There is another one on the site in white, but the style is one of the older ones, where she was doing all lace, very form fitting. Seems like the style now is a little less lace, more bulk at the bottom.
Would you list it?

preownedweddingdresses.com. Sold it for 50% off, and bought plane tickets to Aruba. I call it a win.

@looch: I would list it, but decide in your head how little you are willing to sell it for. My cutoff was $300 because at that point I could donate it to the Salvation Army and claim it as a tax deduction for around that amount. There's no downside to listing it other than the cost (I think $50?).
ETA: Mine wasn't a fancy designer or anything (Emerald gowns, which is now out of business) - I think a ML dress is much more likely to sell!

@looch: I would! ML is such a popular designer and lace never goes out of style.
