What percent did you sell it for?
What condition was it in and did you pay to have it professionally dry cleaned?
Been trying to sell mine off and on for almost four years. I think it's time to pull the trigger and go low on my price just to get some money back.
How low did you sell your dress for? percentage of what you paid? Thanks!

Mine was in perfect condition and I sold it for about 45% after trying about 55-60% for over a year.
(Ebay & CL but eventually sold on Ebay).

Sold on Ebay for 50%, did not dry clean. Unfortunately I think the longer you wait, the cheaper you have to go if someone is looking for specific models. (Mine was a sample to begin with and dirt cheap, I just wanted it gone)

I bought my dress as a sample sale, so it was already lower than the retail price. It sold at a consignment shop for 70% of what I paid for it, and I got half of that. So I got about 35-40% of what I paid for it, which is really probably only about 20% of retail. Does that make any sense?

I want to sell mine too! I've dipped my toe in the water to find out more, but I am curious, if the dresses were designer or what.
Are there some designers that have a higer resale?

@looch: I'm not expert, but I do think some designers have higher resale. I have a friend who owns a bridal consignment store, and she only takes "higher end" designers, like Anne Barge, Vera Wang, Jim Hjelm, etc. I think that's because they turn a better resale profit.

@looch: oh definitely! High end designers like Monique, Vera, Jim Hjelm, etc return a better profit because they're in demand brands.
@CupQuakeWalk: yeah mine is the same. Perfect condition, professionally dry cleaned. I'm very reluctant to let it go for less than 50%. At this point I can live with 40-50%.
