Formula. You're not supposed to introduce cow's milk until 11 months at the earliest, according to my ped. Thats when we were given the go-ahead.

We plan to BF for a year (we're at 6 months right now) but if my supply doesn't keep up we will put her on Nutramigen formula. Our LO has food intolerances so that's the only one we would expect she can tolerate.

Mostly frozen pumped milk but I also gave her 1-2 bottles of formula a day until she turned 1.

@autumnlove: I'm trying to boost my supply and get serious about a freezer stash in hopes of keeping him on BM as long as possible without having to EP a year. It's harder than I thought, to pump enough to freeze!

he is 5 months now and we just started doing breastmilk bottles and formula bottles each day.

@septemberlove: if you stop before a year you should definitely give formula since cows milk doesnt provide all the essentials that formula does
