Are you quick to take pain meds or are you more prone to wait it out and see if the pain escalates?
I used to wait it out but seeing how quickly the pain can escalate and debilitate me, I've started taking medicine right away, just to nip it in the bud. I hate taking pain meds so quickly like that, but I just don't have the time to wait around see how bad it's going to get!

@Mrs. Sunshine: I am in constant pain from degenerative disk disease in my neck and back due to a car accident many years ago. I don't generally take pain meds unless I am in spasm and it escalates past my normal pain level. My mom also has some bad back issues and constantly takes advil. I am worried about the effects of constant long term use so I try to avoid unless necessary. I guess I have gotten used to dealing with a moderate level of pain on a daily basis.
