So on Tuesday I called in sick because DH was so sick with flu like symptoms that I took him to the walk in clinic. They gave him IV fluids and sent us on our way. That day at about 5 I got hit with the same symptoms hard, I was 35 weeks 5 days. I called the dr. and they said to just hydrate and come in if I felt I needed fluids or was in labor. By 8 I was headed to the hospital, because I was pretty sure I was having regular contractions on top of the severe vomitting and diarrhea. They totally tried to brush me off in labor and deliver and kept saying they'd check me and baby out and then send me down to the ER for fluids.

Well, as it turns out, I was having contractions every 2-3 minutes, lasting about 30 seconds, I was dilated to a 2 and baby was at 0 position. Contractions went on through the night, and at the last cervical check I was at a 3. They didn't give me any meds to stop labor, just 4 liters of fluid over night, along with some pain meds. At one point LO's heart was decelerating, but with Oxygen and fluids things stabilized by morning. They did an ultrasound to make sure that everything looked ok, and one last NST.

They sent me home and I continued to have mild contractions about every 5-10 until about 3 yesterday. I have had a few contractions today and a lot of low back/pelvic cramping and go back into the dr. today for another NST and my weekly appointment. I'm now suddenly panicking that baby could come any time, and that I don't have the 2-4 weeks that I thought I did.

So my question is, if you had a similar situation, did you make it to 40 weeks, or did you deliver a bit early?
