and you don't have a seat for that infant on the flight. Would you take her stroller and carseat through the airport with you and gate check them or would you just check the carseat and take the stroller through and gate check that?

I actually carried the carseat gate checked it and baby wore the baby. So I would gate check both.

we strolled the stroller frame and carseat all the way to the plane... then they stored it for us in a bag and checked it in for us there.

we didn't do either, we borrowed a carseat when we flew and didn't use the stroller at all because until recently DS hated the stroller. So we carried him in a baby carrier the whole trip.

If she was old enough to use a stroller w/o her carset then I'd just take the stroller. LO right now has to sit in the carseat that snaps into her stroller so I'd have to take both. Or check both and wear her in a wrap or Ergo through the airport.

I would keep the carseat and gate check it b/c you might find that you have a free seat next to you for the baby. In that case I think you can bring the carseat on and let the baby sit in it.

We gate checked our infant seat and universal snap and go at the gate.

were planning on checking everything, and I'm going to wear her through the airport. I figure she'll be happier if I hold/wear her anyway and then we don't have to worry about lugging anything through the airport.

We did the snap and go and carseat and gate checked both. Super easy. If lo doesnt like the carseat or stroller, however, then babywearing and normal checking might work better for you.

We didnt take a carseat with us at all and just gate checked the stroller, but our LO was almost a year.

I've never brought a seat onboard when we didn't have a seat for my son, I just didn't want to deal with the hassle of having it in another place on the plane. We had a car seat at our destination for our son.
Oh wait, that's not true. I just flew with my son as a lap child and I checked his convertible at checkin with luggage.
I'd check ahead and see how full the flight is, if it's pretty empty a few hours before, I might chance it and bring the seat on.

This totally depends on age of infant and types of carseats and strollers. I've done most of those options, but rarely #1 and never #4.
We also have a Sit n Stroll, so that makes it easier for us. It usually gets gate checked.

I would gate check both. I've had friends that were able to use their carseats on the plane because there were extra seats after everyone boarded. It could make things much easier.
