Did you buy two different things, or did you find something gender neutral? I want something cute, but I'm having a hard time finding something that isn't covered in a frog or a duck!

@LovelyPlum: I wasn't team green but I read a few blogs where they were team green and most of them packed a girl outfit and a boy outfit. Baby Gap usually carries adorable neutral newborn stuff - beautiful soft cream/ivory colors that are mostly plain

My mom brought my brother and I home in white each time. Then she sent my dad to buy clothes before she got discharged from the hospital we will be team green for sure, and I plan to have one of each and keep the tags on things!

Dh and I each picked out an outfit, I picked out a girl and dh picked out a boys. It was one of my favourite days during the pregnancy! When dh announced to our families in the waiting room he brought out the pink onesie. I could hear the screams from the recovery room!

I had a neutral yellow sweater and white onesie/pants for the first and a white velour pajama for my second. For my second I did bring a tiny hair bow just in case

We packed the same outfit that I wore going home from the hospital as a newborn (it was all white - my parents were also TG). But the day we were discharged ending up being super stressful for me and I was too overwhelmed to change the baby, so I left her in a gender neutral sleeper - it was cream with ducky feet and a matching ducky hat.

My sisters went shopping after R was born. She wore a blue dress adorned with Popsicles.

@runnerd: ooh, Etsy! Good idea
Looks like I might have to get one of each, or send someone shopping.

She came home in duck clothes! I didn't think of bringing multiple outfits, though I could've since I had girl things from #1. I love ducks though!

She came home in a white and yellow terry sleeper. My nephew/godson wore it home too. I had also brought that and a blue and green boy one piece, bc I was do convinced she was a boy. Whoops.

My biggest tip is to try shopping the boys' section. I have an aversion to ducks and frogs, and there are many boys' outfits that are really pretty neutral. Lorelei came home in a putty colored boy sleeper with teddy bear faces on it.

We just got striped sleepers (one orange, one yellow) to bring them home in. Granted, I might not be the best one to comment on this because I figured they got their pictures taken more in the hospital, all wrapped up in blankets than they coming home, so I wasn't particular about their outfits.

We're not team green, but we have a little striped monkey sleeper that I think is technically a boy outfit but feels pretty gender neutral to me. I've seen plain white sweater type outfits that would work too (unless it is unusally warm in April, of course)

We're going gender neutral/baby Gap! A penguin bodysuit, a gray bear bundler, and a gray bear hat.

We brought LO home in a yellow striped footed PJ from Carter's nothing fancy. It was November so it was cold. I'm glad I controlled myself from buying anything or sending someone shopping because once we got home EVERYONE sent clothes and it was like an explosion of pink.

I used a white onesie and some light grey/white striped pants. And a neutral hat! Gap has a lot of nice neutrals: creme, grey, navy. You could always buy a colored hat in two different colors if you want something gender specific but don't want to get two different outfits.

With our first, we had one girl outfit and one boy outfit that we took to the hospital with us, everything else was gender neutral. We also had a gender neutral white sweater knit by my mom that the new baby was going to wear home regardless of gender.
This time around, we're TG again, but we have several new girl outfits (in addition to all DD's clothes) and several new boy outfits to choose from. As we're the opposite season to the US, my mom was able to pick up so many darling outfits for next to nothing when the stores were clearing out their summer stock, so we are prepared for either gender!
