Did your parents think you were? My 36 year old brother and his gf got locked out of his townhouse this morning and he called my mom for a spare key. My mom was upset because his gf was there and the fact that they are most likely engaging in pre marital sex. I just laughed...

At the very least, my mom knew I wasn't. We're very close and we talk about pretty much everything. She knows that DH and I were "active" before marriage and she knows that I slept with my boyfriend I had before DH.
My dad.... well, I'm sure he knew but we don't talk about such things.

Hahaha I truly think my mom believed (maybe still) that I was a virgin until marriage even though DH and I lived together for 4 years before we got married! Just because that's what she wanted to believe though. 
And DH is not even the person I lost my virginity to.

When I was 19 I dated and lived with a much older man, if they didn't know then, they are totally oblivious! My parents don't really talk to me about that kind of stuff so it's never been brought up.

hahaha, my parents knew I wasn't a virgin! I was with Hubs for six years before we got married and lived together for three! Plus I had talked to my mom about going on the pill, so she was well aware that I was getting some action out of wedlock.

My parents and I have managed to avoid this topic, but my MIL knew I had a m/c while DH were engaged and I guess all she could focus on was how it came about. Even though duh, we owned a home together and there was only one bedroom!

We lived together for 7 years before getting married, so it was no shocker for either of our parents. We always stayed in the same room any time we visited family, so it was never an issue.

We lived together before getting engaged & I had lived with a bf before DH, so I'm pretty sure everyone knew! My mom took my to a GYN in high school when she found out I was sexually active. It was never a topic they brought up & they never stressed waiting so I don't think they had any expectation that I would.

My husband and I got married on our 10 year anniversary, so I don't think anyone believed that I was still a virgin. We had already been living together for a few years and owned a house together. Although I'm pretty sure that my parents think that my husband (whom I started dating a couple months before turning 18) was my first.

Not sure. DH was my first, and we started having sex after we got engaged. But we lived together in a community house the first year we were dating (and separately the second year!) They made us have a family breakfast the next morning at 8am, which my conservative Christian friend was pretty horrified at. (I didn't enjoy it either, virgin or not!) Then we stayed at my parents' house the second night after our wedding before flying home, all clues since I think we would have wanted a lot more alone time otherwise!!
I ended up getting diagnosed with some health problems soon after we were married. I told my mom about them (bladder and vulva problems that make sex hurt sometimes) and she was SO convinced my husband was going to leave me. She left it alone when I made it verrrrry clear we had dealt with this before we got married. So they know now.

At 16 I was put on birth control for my acne & bad cramps 
I didn't actually have sex till about a year later & had to break the news to my mom because I was having an allergic to the latex condoms we were using. The doctor told me to tell my mom I was allergic to the laundry detergent but she knew better.
She wasn't crazy about her little girl having sex but it was obvious I was practicing safe sex so she never gave me a hard time about it. After thanksgiving dinner yesterday before she left she said, "I'm going to head out now so you two can go make me some grandchildren." lol

DH and I ended up living together for 8 years before the wedding, so I think it was a given.
When I called my parents to tell them we were engaged, I said, "We have some exciting news." My mother immediately screamed - "You're pregnant!"

Two days before our wedding, my mom tried to have her version of "the talk" with me about sex and condoms or something and it was the most uncomfortable moment of my life so I shut it down immediately buy shouting that we figured it out fives years ago, no problems there. My mom just about died because she totally thought I was a virgin (even though we'd been living together for a year....). Also, to this day, my mom believes my older sister was also a virgin when she got married. Um....right.

36 and she was upset!! LOL. We'd lived together for a year before we got married, and basically lived together for a long time before that so.. neither of our parents were under any illusions.

My grandma was so upset that I lived with dh before I got married that in her mind I was married. She called him my husband way before he was. I stopped correcting her, it made her happy.

As weird as this sounds...I hope not! Because my mom was 40 when they got married and...that would have been a long wait lol. My parents certainly did not think that we had never done it when we got married (I mean we had been dating for 8 years on our wedding day) and they also didn't bat an eye when we moved in together. My dad is even a minister but my parents are pretty progressive and don't really believe in waiting until marriage.

But I doubt they know that I actually lost my virginity to my high school boyfriend.

My mom knew. She's very realistic... whereas DH's mom once made the comment "my son would never do that" when my mom said, "he touched her boobs!" And at our wedding, his sister asked, "so will you even know what to do tonight?" Come on people, he is 31!!!

DH and I lived together for about 5 years before we got married so I am sure they assumed. Also, there were a few times when I would talk to my mom on the way to work where I would complain about not feeling well and she would inquire if I could be preggo. They were pretty relaxed.
My in-laws however are strict catholics and HATED that we lived together. For the first three years we had a two bedroom so we could pretend he had his and I had mine, when in reality we slept together nightly. They were distraught that we got a hotel room for my SIL's wedding (pre marriage or engagement for us) together at the fear that a family member or friend may see us checking in or out of the hotel together. Mind you were were 27 and living together for 2 years at the time. Denial is fun right?

@artbee: My grandmother was thrilled when DH officially moved in to my apartment after we'd been dating for 8 months or so- she's a little paranoid about safety, and she felt so much better now that I had a man living in the house to protect me!

Oh lawd no. I didn't get married until I was 32 so I think my parents would have been concerned for my physical and emotional well-being had I still been a virgin. They are pretty progressive, though.

Lol - My parents knew. I asked my mom to put me on BC when I was 17 and in a serious and long term relationship with my high school boyfriend.
BUT my husband (not the hs boyfriend) and I got away with hiding our living situation from his parents before we got married so they might think we were virgins when in reality neither of us were.

Yup...my mom took me to the gyn to get on the pill & my dad stumbled across the bill...so surprise! He was pisssssssed! But my mom reminded him it was better than me being a 16 y/o mom, since they had me young as it was! (18)
