Hmm, I started pumping once a day when R was a week old. I didn't increase the pumps until I went back to work.

I started pumping regularly by between weeks 4 and 5. I went back at 7 weeks and wanted to make sure I had it down.
I had pumped a couple times before that just to relieve engorgement (he latched better on one side for the first few weeks, so the other would get really engorged).

I went back to work at 12 weeks. I started pumping about once a day around 3 weeks. Eventually I was pumping four times a day, after every day-time feed. But only for about 10 minutes total (5 minutes each side - in the beginning I didn't double-pump).

Started as soon as my milk was in and I had a huge stash when I went back to work. Also took a mini vacation with DH during maternity leave and left my mom milk for 3 days

Around 3 w pp. had a pretty good stash and was able to donate some milk. I hate pumping but it also gave me the ability to get a break daily when DH would give her a bottle.

I started in her first week but had to throw out my stash twice due to thrush. I single pumped while she fed and didn't double pump until I returned to work.

I did a small bit about a month and a half before going back just to figure out how to use the pump. I didn't build a stash b/c we were dealing with food sensitivities and hadn't gotten them all figured out yet, so I didn't want to pump and then waste the milk. About 2 weeks before going back, I started pumping more regularly.

I started 6 weeks into my 12 week leave. I did it in the morning after the AM feed. The LC at my hospital recommended starting between weeks 3 and 6. She said starting earlier might trigger an oversupply.

I only pumped randomly before I went back to work - whenever I felt I needed it or if I wanted to be able to give DD a bottle.

I started when he was about 1.5 weeks old. I pumped 2-4x a day at first! After about the first month I only pumped once a day, after a morning feed. My DH was home with me so that helped a lot, time-wise. I only pumped for about 8-9 weeks but it definitely helped, I have a great stash.

Around 3 weeks, I started pumping the side she didn't eat in the morning (we only nurse on one side per feeding). Otherwise, I would just pump now and then so DH or my parents could give her a bottle. We tried to make sure she got a bottle every other day or so from 3 weeks on, just so she could get used to it. I built up a couple hundred ounces in my freezer stash this way.
