Yes! It's the best!

Actually today DH and I got home at the same time and poor LO didn't know who to go to first!

J has started to yell and run away when I pick him up from daycare. He only goes for a couple hours, two or three times a week and loooooves it. He doesn't want to leave, lol
Guess I don't have to worry about him missing me??

When I picked him up from my mom today, he gave me a huge smile

I have lots of anxiety about him growing up too fast. I feel like I'll blink and he'll be a teenager and never want to be around me. Totally irrational, but I had a meltdown at 1 week pp thinking about it. I've been noticing more things since becoming a mom, especially when it comes to my students. I love how my 4-5 year old boys are still sooo excited when their mamas come to get them in the afternoons. The ones who are the "tough guys" all day run into their mom's arms and give them huge hugs. Melts my heart!

When I pick LO up at daycare, she squeals when she sees me and comes running to me and gives me a hug and a kiss. Today she spent the afternoon with her grandparents (she calls my mom "cookie" - that tells you something lol) and when she saw me she said "oh hi mama! Bye bye now" and waved at me to leave

I had a similar experience today. DD has always been grumpy with me all day and then happy to see DH at 5.15pm. But today, when I went to get her after work, she was so excited to see me! She was in her walker at my inlaws' house and she bounced over to me (she uses it a bit like a jumperoo, making it move by bouncing!!) giggling and grinning and then lifted her arms up to me! When I picked her up, she buried her face against my chest like she was giving me a big hug. Ah, my heart melted!!
