I try to get him to sleep bc I know he will eventually be a wreck if I don't.
His naps are pretty crap though so I can't say I'm very successful

My baby has DEFINITELY not mastered the "put yourself down" at 9 weeks.....so if he's showing tired signs I move heaven and earth to get him to sleep! I know this has to change and he needs to learn to self settle, but I figure him getting enough sleep is what is most important now. Who knows if I'm right!?

My kids were so different...LO 1 never wanted to nap and LO 2 was the opposite and was able to self soothe for naps at 6 weeks.
LO 1 was a good night sleeper but terrible napper until 14.5 months!

@ScarletBegonia: totally agree. With our first son he fought sleep from day 1 and my husband and I did whatever it took to get him to sleep. With my new son(almost 4 weeks old) I really thought he was bound to be a better sleeper. Ha, yeah right, just like my first son, too busy being noisy to sleep so he usually sleeps on me. I keep telling myself this too shall pass!
