LO has a lot of winter dresses that came with diaper covers. I always just put tights on her without the diaper cover, but are you supposed to put the cover on over the tights? Sorry if this is a dumb question!

I don't!
ETA: Especially when her tights give her a ruffle butt!

I don't for day to day. When she got pictures taken, I did.

I do. I just really like diaper covers haha. I think it's preference

I don't think it's necessary at all but once I put them on over the rights I just preferred the way it looked...just looks more put together especially when she was super little and crawling around everywhere

I did last year but then realized it was a whole lot of layers! I ended up taking it off and don't really use them now.

I always do. I prefer to see bloomers instead of a lumpy diaper through tights. If they're thick/ruffled I will usually skip the cover.

FWIW, the cover is meant to keep the tights from sagging and falling down. I've been known to wear underwear over my tights at times to prevent it.

I was wondering the same thing. I could see myself putting it on then taking it off and not replacing after the first diaper change.
@LindsayInNY: hmm f it helps the tights stay up that's a good reason to keep it...

I do - one, it looks more put together on a crawling baby, and two, it helps the tights stay up.

@LindsayInNY: My LO's tights don't sag . . . and I haven't had that problem mahselfs, either!

@MsLipGloss: Oh I would never cover up a ruffle butt! LO wore these BG tights today--they have a cat on the butt so I didn't want to cover that up either
@Smurfette: do you have these??
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@lawbee11: Nope. DH outlaws cat things since he is allergic. I am not a cat person, but I thought those were so cute too!

@MsLipGloss: I'm talking non-fancy tights. I have a spiderweb pair for Halloween (what? you don't?!) and since they're "one size fits all," they don't fit the best and the crotch sags. Maybe little kids tights only sagged back in the 80s?? =/

@LindsayInNY: My LO's tights definitely sag. She has legs like a gymnast, but no booty or waist. The bloomers definitely help!

@LindsayInNY: my tights ALWAYS sagged. and I was always yanking at them! part of why I won't touch tights with a ten foot pole now!

I do 1/2 the time. But never if there is a ruffle butt or if I am doing an undershirt/bodysuit under the dress too. I feel like it becomes too many layers. I didn't see those cute cat tights!

@Smurfette: Oh I am so not a cat person but DH loves cats so they were partly for him and partly because I needed gray tights and those were the only ones they had!
