First was large at a couple ounces shy of 9lbs at 2 weeks early. Second was a week early and weighed basically 9lbs and they didn't talk induction or anything.

First was 9lbs, 3oz at a couple of days late. I was induced at 42 weeks with my second and baby was 8lbs, 13oz.

I'm interested in this. LO was 5lb7oz at 33 weeks. The midwives were questioning whether I got my dates wrong (I didn't). So how big might she have been at term?

My cousin's first was bigger (9lb I think) and second was small (7?). Interestingly, the first has a disease that causes nutritional issues, and is now off the charts small for his age at 5yo, but the second is growing so fast she's jumping curves at 2mo.

43 weeks - 10 lbs 8 oz
38.5 weeks - 8 lbs

My ultrasounds leading up were right on point.

LO1- 8 lbs 9 oz at 41 +1 w
LO2- 7lbs 3oz at 38 weeks

First: 8 lbs 14 oz @ 39+1
Second: 8 lbs 8 oz @ 37+4

First was 9 pounds 5 ounces at 40w5d. Second was 9pounds 10 ounces at 39weeks. Since my first was so large, I was tested for GD in the first trimester with my second pregnancy, in addition to the third trimester. I did not have it either time.

I also had size estimate ultrasounds at 32 and 36 weeks (they compared measurements) with my second pregnancy. Their size prediction was bang on (high 9 pounds). My OB said if they predicted a baby would be 10 pounds, they would offer me an elective C-section and if she was predicted to be 11, they would strongly encourage it.

For reference, my doc said their threshold for big is 8 pounds 10 ounces at term.

I asked about induction and she said they would not do one for size concerns alone before 40w as long as everything else looked fine. I did have an emergency C-section after 3 hours of pushing with my second as she would not budge. My first was a vaginal delivery without a vaccum assist or anything like that.

I did feel a lot bigger this time but my pregnancy was actually easier. And the baby weighed more (especially for coming almost 2 weeks earlier) but was 1.5 inches shorter.

I carried smaller and gained less the second time but still had pretty similar sized babies. Eta: a resident did a growth us when I was in labor and told me ds2 was measuring 5.5lbs.... Good thing I know from ds1 that likely wasn't the case!

My first was 9#7oz at 41 weeks.
My second was 9#8oz at 40 weeks.

Ultrasound the day before was 2lbs off.

The only reason why my doctor ok'd my vbac and my delivery was horrendous because of her size.

First was 9 lbs 1 oz.
Second was 8 lbs even, and I had GD during that pregnancy, so I credit the GD diet to his lower weight. I often wonder if I developed GD later in my pregnancy with DS1 than they test...

First one was 8 lbs 10 oz - 5 days early
second one was 7 pounds 6 oz - 7 days early.

I gained about 20 pounds less with #2 and ate better as well, so a lot of it was me. I thought for sure i would have another huge baby though, it runs in my family. My second daughter was the smallest out of the 6 nieces/nephews.
