What would they pick?
My oldest really wants a Little Mermaid party, but she's also equally or more obsessed with Palace Pets. I'm surprised she doesn't want a Rapunzel/Tangled party, that's her favorite movie!
My 1.5 year old lives and breathes bubble guppies. I have no idea if she'll still love it when she turns two in January, but that is legitimately the only show to hold her attention.

My soon to be 4 year old DD is getting exactly what she asked for - a pink sparkly puppy party. I don't think she's ever been to a character themed party, so she's not aware that's even a possibility!

@matador84: hahahaha! I had to buy a gift for my nephew this past weekend and got ninja turtles (by request). DD saw the bag and made a face and was like, "mom. Those turtles are so angry. They're being SO fresh." She was horrified!

My LO did pick her most recent party theme and it was "all the princesses" as she couldn't narrow it down to just 1!

Jumping. Anything where she can just jump and jump. We aren't having a party by we are bringing her to an indoor inflatable bounce house place the day of her bday. She also requested a kitty cat cake.
Last year it was Daniel Tiger.

DS is turing 4 and he wants a spiderman party
DD is 20 mos and would probably love minnie mouse. So funny since she has only really seen a few stuffed animals and has one pair of pj's but she's always saying "mousy!" when she sees Minnie.

@bushelandapeck: my almost 3 year old has never seen Frozen (we tried a while back and she wasn't interested) but she is obsessed with Anna and Elsa and Olaf. It's so funny to me.

It changes every day. I told them they can't make a decision until after Halloween for LO 1 and after Valentine's Day for LO 2.

2.5 year old DD would pick Disney princesses for sure- probably Ariel, Merida, AND Anna because she has red hair and gets super excited about her "princess twins". I loathe character parties- we are going to go for tea at American Girl instead and I'm gifting her my Felicity doll so hopefully she won't hate me.

At 18 months it would either be Minnie or puppies. Honestly I think both could be fun but we'll see what she thinks in 6 months.

my almost 4 year old has told me she's already having a "princess pajama party" and I asked what this was and she said "well of course silly, you wear your pjs and a crown because even princesses have to wear their pajamas...."
She LOVES both, so it makes complete sense...now how i'm going to get our family to wear PJs to her party 
DD2 she loves Daniel Tiger right now but she won't be 2 for another 9 months. However, I figured I get one more year of picking her theme so I'll be doing something else hahaha.

@LuLu Mom: I've been to two PJ parties! One was in the morning and was Llama Llama Red Pajama themed and they had pancakes, egg casserole, etc. The other was in the evening and it was "drive in movie" themed. My girlfriend made little "cars" out of cardboard boxes for all the kids and put a projection screen in their back yard. All the parents brought camping chairs to sit in. And we all wore our PJs. SO MUCH FUN!
