Do you pump the fuller side every time? DD is almost 6 weeks and sometimes she only nurses one side for 4-5 min and seems like she's done. Other times she will still seem hungry after both sides. Am I over thinking this or do I risk my supply going down if I don't empty both breasts every 3-4 hours? I guess I'm just confused as to how long it takes to decrease/increase supply.

If you can I would try to pump. You could offer one side and the. Pump the other. At the next feeding switch. Or you could nurse both sides and then pump both sides. Really whatever you're capable of doing.

I agonized over this too, didn't end up pumping, and just fed from one side each feed and my supply was fine! I could tell which side was due by giving them a squeeze.

I only feed her from one side each time. She would always fall asleep after one side, so I stopped trying to get her to do both.
I've read that after your supply is established one side at a time is fine. -
No I don't pump. I didn't want to risk oversupply. DD only took one side per feeding until about 4 months. I didn't pump the other side and had no supply issues.

With Xander, I always pumped, because I wanted to ensure I kept my supply up and I wanted to have a freezer stash before I returned to work.
With Logan, I generally don't pump because he eats more often and I know he'll just drain it at the next session (I alternate which side he starts from each time).

C only drinks one side per feed. I try offering the other but she's never interested. She's eight weeks now. -
She usually takes both sides during the day, and I don't pump when she only eats one side at night, I just alternate.

J hardly ever takes both sides. I pump both sides after his first AM feed to make myself more comfortable and build a freezer stash. Other than that as long as your baby is gaining weight well I think she only needs that much and your supply will regulate accordingly.

I never pumped the other side and never had a problem. I never felt empty, either. I also block fed, so I'd go a while between feeding on each side.

I never pump the other side either. She only takes one side at each feeding and i offer the other, but she gives me the side eye every time. I think it takes longer than a few feeds to affect your supply. If your baby has a shorter feed, then the next feed will probably be longer, so it'll all even out over time.

I never pump the other side, unless its engorged or really full or something. I just start on the other side next time. The only concern is mastitis, if you are prone to it because you aren't being fully drained - but don't over think it!

I don't think you need to worry about supply, but if you want to use that opportunity to pump to build a stash, then do it.
