LO is 13 months old and has been on a 1 nap schedule since 11 months, mainly because of daycare. I know we forced it on her (which made me feel like the worst mom ever, and still does) because recently, she has been taking 2 naps on the weekend.
I try to keep her on the same schedule on the weekend, but last Sunday she crawled on DH's chest and passed out.
Am i the only one? Does your LO take more naps on the weekend?

This is M. She naps once at daycare but always twice on the weekends at home. Maybe she's catching up on sleep?

E does this too. He takes a late nap around 5 on the weekend and it always messes with bedtime. But I feel like he needs to catch up on sleep so I just roll with it.

At daycare, he only catnaps in teh mornign (30 mins) and sleeps a long nap in the afternoon - but usually once, sometimes twice a week he only takes 1 nap there.
He always takes 2 naps at home. Morning nap is 3 or 3.5 hours after first wake (usually 9) and he sleeps for 1.5-2 hours. Afternoon nap is at 2 or 2:30 and he usually sleeps an hour. I figure if he's sleeping so long in the morning, he's not ready to give up the morning nap.

My son is 11 months and we are in the same situation. He is starting to only take one nap in the afternoon at daycare (usually around 2 hrs). But on weekends he'll easily take a nap at home in the a.m. (1 hr) and p.m. (1 hr). On days we have no weekend plans, I love that he catches up on his sleep but I feel gulity-Mom feelings about the daycare 1 nap situation.

Yep! At daycare her one nap is from 12:30 - 2:30pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, she takes her first nap at around 10:30-noon and then a really short nap in the car on the way home from wherever we are coming from. It works for us! Same wakeup and bedtime on all days!

@Freckles: she naps around 8:30/9:00 and around 2ish. She wakes up at 6am

Interesting. M will be moving to the 1's room in less than a month and they only do 1 nap. I have a feeling she will be doing 2 naps on weekends because I really don't think she is ready to transition to 1 nap yet. Poor kids!!

@Freckles: yup! She's been off and on one nap during daycare for months. Even when she was in a 2 nap room but now she is officially in a one nap room. But on the weekends she still takes 2 naps. I think she catches up on sleep over the weekend.

Lorelei is 14 months, moved to one nap on her own, and only naps once/day the whole week (but she is at home with me always). Rarely if we have a really full day she will take a 2nd cat nap in the car. @Winniebee; Lorelei's only nap now is the morning nap. She started to do afternoons, and it was a disaster, so now we are back to mornings and everyone is happier! Her naps looked like your son's, and then she dropped the afternoon one.

Really great thread - I was just jumping on to figure out this whole two naps to one thing.
LO is 11.5mo and daycare is saying that he is ready to drop his morning nap but at home he does a 1hr morning nap and a 1hr afternoon nap.
