Did it work? If so, how long did it take to see results?
We just got a prescription for Zantac for LOs silent reflux. He's been refusing his bottle lately and eating much less. just wondering how soon we might see results!

It did not really work for us, LO was still refusing bottles after a week. We cut out dairy and soy and switched her to prevacid all at the same time and within 2 days she was eating willingly again. I think it was more the MSPI than the reflux meds... but I also feel like prevacid did better than zantac with the reflux because she was doing less hard swallowing/seeming uncomfortable than she was on zantac or before.

Yes! It made a huge difference for us, we could tell a definite difference on days where we forgot a dose. I don't remember exactly how long it took before we saw a difference, but if I remember correctly it was quick - just a couple of days!

I feel like it helped, but bottles/nursing were still a bit of a process until he got bigger and grew out of the reflux more.

She got her dose on a Tuesday and never screamed again from it. The ped told us to give it a week I think? But it was within 24-48 hours we had major leaps and bounds success. We were able to drop the Zantac at 4 months or so

We had to switch to Prevacid also. If you don't see an improvement soon, ask to try something else!

Didn't work for us unfortunately, switched to Omeprazole, and I'm still not sure that it helps...

Zantac worked for month and then we had a major regression where it got insane and we switched to Prevacid. He's been a ton better since.

Zantac started working for us in about 4-5 days, then worked for a week or so. Our ped upped the dosage but it didn't do much and we switched to omeprazole (Prilosec) within 2-3 weeks of starting Zantac. We've had to up the dosage of omeprazole once since starting it, but other than that it seems to help a lot!

It worked for my DD but not for my DS. He ended up needing Prevacid. His reflux has always been worse than DD's. We gave it a week or two on Zantac before switching to Prevacid.

Major improvement in under a week. She's been on it for about 6 weeks now, still working great.

It didn't work for LO, but she was eventually diagnosed with food allergies so it wasn't the right remedy anyhow.

One of my boys showed a little bit of improvement on it after a few days, but it didn't affect the other one much at all. Both ended up on Prevacid, which was awesome once it kicked in.

It did not work for us, we had to switch 3 different medicines until we finally got on one that works (Prilosec) but our daughter had a very extreme case of acid reflux (she's still on medicine at 2 1/2 years old for it) so we aren't really the norm.
