Ds2 is 7.5 months old. He sleeps 7-7 over night and we're in the phase of 2 or 3 naps depending on the length of his first nap! I'm trying to move to two naps but his catnaps are hard to predict!

LO is 12 months and is still thoroughly in the needing two naps camp! I think she was consistently just two naps at 6 months though that was partially from starting daycare.

10 months. She's been on 2 since she was about your DS's age but if has an early wake up or a short nap she will sometimes take 3.

I think DD transitioned from 3-2 between 6-7 months, then she was on 2 naps till just before 15 months when she went down to 1.

We were on 3 naps until 8 months and he easily dropped the third nap on his own. At that point we were roughly on a 1.5-2.5-3.5 schedule. Weren't firmly on 2-3-4 until about a year and stayed on 2-3-4 schedule until last week, just shy of 18 months. (Now we're transitioning to 1 nap).
Every baby is different. Mine has always had higher sleep needs and stayed on as many naps as possible for as long as possible. I just followed his cues. When it seems like I'm getting enough signs he's ready to drop a nap, and I know age wise it's appropriate, I start a slow transition.

@SweetiePie: Huh, I've never heard of the 2-3-4 schedule, but it makes sense. My 9 MO follows it, though oftentimes we end up with 3-2-4, but that's partly because she wakes up at 6 am.
@mrsjyw: My 9 MO is on two naps a day, though she only started doing that at about 8 months. Till then she often would take a cat nap right before bedtime.

15 months and still on two. Sleeps 730 or so until 615/630. Naps 9-1030 and 230-4. Have experimented with 1 nap but he's not ready. He was a horrendous cat napped until 8 months so we were on 3 until 9m more or less.

A little over 7.5 months and moving to 2 naps now. His naps are lengthening and he ended up either fighting the 3rd nap or taking it too late. It also started affecting his night sleep. He was sleeping 12 hours (with two wake ups) and went down to 10. So I knew something needed to be adjusted!

We are still transitioning...best case scenario is 2 naps of 1.5-2 hours, sometimes we need an add'l cat-nap to make it to a reasonable bedtime. DS is 7 months old.

17 months, and he's still on 2 naps! A short 20 - 30 min catnap in the AM, and then a longer 1.5 - 2 hr nap in the afternoon.

7.5 months. She moved to 2 naps consistently around 6.5-7 months. But her night sleep is awful. She wakes 3-4x per night. Naps are the only consistent part of her sleep habits.

DD is 9 months old and takes 2 naps. We transitioned from 3 to 2 around 7 months I think.

10 months! She switched to two naps around 6.5/7 months when she started daycare!
