I thought about this when I was pregnant, and suggested it to my husband. He said that I am too type A to handle someone else having that responsibility and he is probably right.

I would still do it. I wasnt a big fan of beimg pregnant but there was stuff i do miss.

DH. Totally and completely. Somewhere around the 8th needle poke during my 3hr gestational diabetes test (I have difficult veins) I remember saying, "Okay, you get the next one! This isn't fair!"

Really, he'd be a nightmare though. Not that I deal with it well (but can you really blame me with hypermesis gravidarum, gestational diabetes, and a 27 pound toddler who isn't walking yet?) but he would be even worse - like @Mae: said, he acts like he is dying whenever he comes down with a cold or the flu. Last time he threw up he was begging for me to take him to urgent care when it clearly wasn't necessary - I can only imagine if he was throwing up as often as I have. He'd still probably be willing to do it...and I would definitely let him! I'm sure he'd get used to it, not like there's much of a choice involved.

@Mae: Exactly! DH gets a little sniffle and freaks out.

Dh already said he could never do it. When he talks about four kids (rarely) I used to tell him sure if you can carry two of them!

Me. He wouldn't want to and I wouldn't want to give that up- so we are a good match.

I don't think he would.

And as people have said above, I think it would probably be easier for me just to do it myself than listen to him complain that much for the duration of a pregnancy.

I would definitely try to bribe DH to have the next one. I am not a happy preggo. Sooo ill all the time.

haha....DH would never be able to handle the discomfort of being pregnant or delivering. He almost passed out while I was pushing and needed to be given juice by the nurses. I don't love being pregnant, but I don't hate it either, so I would be fine to do it again.

We would be done having kids if DH had to carry/deliver. Unless of course, I couldn't, then I think he would step up to the plate. There would be times I would be jealous of him though, crazy enough!

Haha I keep saying he can carry the next one! But in reality I still think I'm better off being pregnant. They think they know, but they really have no idea!

I actually told DH, if you want another one after this you better figure out a way to carry it because I'm done! I wish men could just experience 2 months of being pregnant, 1 in the first trimester, and 1 in the very last month Then maybe they would understand where we are coming from!
