How often do you go with him/her? DH has a bunch of travel opportunities coming up and I would like to go with him as much as possible, but I'm not sure what's really feasible. Is it too much to go on 4 trips a year? What about one trip a month? We for sure have 4 trips to go on this year, but I'm debating whether the kids and I should join him for the rest of his trips.

If money allows you should go! My husband only went on one trip for work before he quit, 3 weeks in Chicago. I could have gone with him but with my fear of flying I stayed home. But I wish I could've gone!

One of my coworkers brought his wife to a LA business trip. She ended up by herself alot since we had required cocktail.hour and dinners. Even though the events had alcohol and were even held in fun venues it was team building and she was not allowed to join.
Would you even have fun on his trip?
I used to meet my husband on his NYC trips when we were dating. He would extend his hotel stay and we would spend the weekend together.

Never, he travels Mon-Thurs and I have to work. There have been times that I fly out on Friday and meet him where he is and we have a weekend away. Mostly when he is at the beach! Work will pay for the hotel since he isn't flying home.

I don't think he'll have additional events beyond the daytime requirements, but it's a good idea to check before committing.
If everything works out, we'll for sure be going on 4 trips, and I think we'll have a lot of fun. The other option is that I can always go stay with my parents or in-laws while he's away, but of course I'd rather go with my husband.

I would definitely go if your budget and time allows for it, and if they're places with lots of things to do. My DH used to have to travel to a little town in Ohio. I went with him once and it suuuuucked!

With just one kid, mr jacks went on all my trips, but now we have to pay for Lala's ticket, so he goes less frequently. I have to go to DC in May and I really want the family to come!

I was telling DH last night that with my promotion (we work for same company), I am hoping that we can go on a few trips together. They're mostly seminar style, so I don't think anybody would mind if I brought our LO with us as she's still so young. We'll see if the opportunity arises.
I'd say go if you can!

@Mrs. Jacks: DH has a trip to DC this fall! I really want to go, since DD has been really interested in the president/first family lately. I'm just waiting for the details to find out if that one will be possible for us.
