NOPE.

Xander's only done it once (maybe twice), and now doesn't show any interested in climbing out. He's still in a crib at 3.

It's possible she scared herself enough to not try it again right away. Can the mattress go lower? I know people who dropped it all the way to the floor to buy time.

We were back and forth with the big bed in her room and the crib anyway, so one day she figured out that she could climb out of the crib into the bed and back. After that we stopped putting her In the crib but she still climbs back and forth for fun sometimes. The big bed transition was actually pretty easy for her. We did get the ok to wake clock which has been awesome, but potty training is throwing that off completely. She is in a diaper for sleeping but when she wakes up before it lights up she calls that she wants to go potty.

Mine climbed out super young before she had any sort of sense of her own safety. I was too on edge bc I neverknew when she'd try. I gave it a couple days then moved her to a floor bed.

Hell no! DD dumped herself out at 18 months and scared her enough she didn't try for a while! We talked to her a lot about calling for us instead of climbing, which has mostly worked. The only time she attempts it is when she's resisting nap. We just watch the monitor on those days and intercept before she gets too far. She's 2y3m now and still in the crib. Definitely not messing with it until after #2 arrives and we deal with that transition!

She only climbed out once, during a tantrum, just around her second birthday. We tried converting the crib right away but it was a miserable failure so we went back to the crib. We tried again a couple months later because she would threaten to climb out if she was mad (look straight at us and throw her leg up on the rail) but she never actually did it again. Unfortunately, it still didn't go well. Then, right around when she turned 2.5, she told us she was ready for us to open it and make it a big girl bed. We did, and knock on wood, she's been happy with it so far.

No. My son was about 21 months when he did it the first time. He just did it the second time this past weekend (he's 24 months now). Now that he's done it twice I think we're going to get serious about finding a solution (dropping the mattress all the way to the floor?) But the first time he did it we thought we'd just wait and see if he was going to try it again.
