We're going to IKEA tomorrow to get LO his own little chair. I'd like to grab a few other small items or toys while I'm there. DS is 13 months. What should I look for?

We went today. I got the counting beads, tambourines, bead wire thing, finger puppets and a beach shovel.

They have pretty good art smocks. I'll be using it for feeding too.

The SLAPPA hooded towel. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80252013/ - it goes over their head, and has snaps on the sides. Great for swimming and toweling off after baths.

My LO loves the plushy basketball we got her. Its her favorite toy. We also have the play tunnel in our yard.

I think the play tent that looks like castle is really cute.

I like their plates and bowls and cup, stack well together. We also have a pop up play tent thing. Play kitchen stuff is nice. And more for you than LO but they have nice napkins and straws for cheap.

This is not really a small item but we found this cart the other day and LOVE it. It has been great for extra toy storage.

They have some little wooden cars with mix and match tops that are great - really sturdy and they go really fast and far when pushed. I also really like their felt food.

All their wooden toys are great and good quality-train sets, blocks, a wheeled cart, etc. LO also loves his castle tent and art supplies from there. They also have stuffed animals, tunnel tubes, and pretend food that are hits.

We have the castle tent and my son loves it!

We love the stuffed animals, fabric play food, abacus, and the play tunnel. Their stackable plastic dishes/ silverware are great also- we have a set for the kitchen and another set of bowls for the bathtub.

Our one year old also likes the play tent.
We have a bunch of their toddler spoons.

Oh yeah, the fabric fruit basket is great.

@delight: this is super cute and I remember seeing it before. Sadly, my kid would see this a challenge to pull everything out.

@delight: We got that cart on our last trip, too! I have wanted it for years and I finally convinced DH we could use it to organize the new nursery. I've seen entire blog posts devoted to all the ways people use this cart!

They have an easel that is only about $15 I think!

@tlcbaby: after I brought it home I was looking up ways to use it and saw there are so many different uses! I want to go back and get some more! You can never have enough storage!
@YogiRunner: what do you use it for in your nursery? We are going to start working on our nursery in the summer. It seems like it would be a good cart to hold diaper supplies and stuff beside the change table. -
@delight: Yup that's exactly what we use it for. Diapers, wipes, and other things I need to grab quickly: rolled up swaddle blankets, burp cloths, booties, bibs, etc. It is a great pop of color too.
