Took my 2.5 year old last weekend:-). We also took him at 18 months (we're only 80 miles from Disneyland,) and the main difference is he was not afraid of dark/scary rides at 18 months but WAS afraid this time at 2.5. I'd see how your kid does on one of the indoor dark rides (Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, Mr. Toad, etc.) and sort of base the rest of your rides on that. My son loved Dumbo, Small World, and Pooh. He also *loved* sitting and watching the trolleys and people pass by on Main Street. There was no line for Mickey Mouse (it was rainy for the morning) and he was in love with Mickey. Feel free to DM me with more questions! Have an incredible time!

fun!
1.same on the dark rides, my toddler found them too loud and scary..
2.get the disneyland app for your phone, tells you wait times and where/when the characters are! also can see which rides have fast pass, height restrictions and such.
3. also for the adults you can do fastpass - it saves you SO MUCH TIME - like literally walk onto the ride.. send 1 adult with all your tickets to the booth and grab the fast pass.. then u can ride more kid friendly rides in between...
4. check out rider switch pass also - u can use this in conjunction with fast pass and some of the adults can ride the ride twice without waiting! https://disneyland.disney.go.com/guest-services/rider-switch/
5. sit down restaurants - make a res in advance if possible ...
6. if you are doing princess greets at the castle try to do that in the morning right when it opens or else the lines are unbearable...
have fun!
