LO got her 12 month shots today and I can't stop worrying about her. My nephew got really sick after his 12 month shots and was hospitalized for 5 days. I've talked to two doctors about it and they both told me there was no reason to worry about LO. The chance of having the reaction to MMR is one in 40,000. But my nephew was the one in 40,000! I am so worried LO is going to be another because of some unknown genetic predisposition.

We decided not to delay or skip the vaccine since there's a case of measles in the area. As worried as I am about potential reactions I can't ignore the risk of a real communicable disease blocks from my office.

I don't usually worry like this. What do you do to calm yourself down when logic isn't working?
