Do your inlaws favor your LO when they resemble their side of the family? And even if LO does not look like them, do they say LO does?
My inlaws are hilarious when it comes to that and slight delusional.

I think everyone wants LO to look like them. My LO is a good mix of DH and I so each side of the family is always saying something, but it's always true.

Ok this drives me insane. YES they are obsessed with pointing out how my kiddo looks like everyone on their side! When they started talking on facebook about how much he looks like his aunt I had to step in-- I coerced my sister into mentioning how much he looks like her! I am a terrible person. But in reality he does look a lot like her!

My LO looks like DH and nothing like me! My MIL is happy about this!

My LO looks exactly like me. My MIL kept on saying that he looks like DH. Nope, not at all. My parents love that my LO looks like me/them.

My MIL says all the time how LO looks just like me but that she hopes her hair turns a bit redder (MIL has red hair, DH has reddish hair, and my hair actually has a bit of red in it). LO does have DH's family's feet though and the same single dimple that DH has and that his dad had. His mom absolutely loves the dimple though because it's been passed down three generations now.

My MIL loves that both my kids look like DH but once they start looking like me, she is silent. Hahaha.

Oh my goodness I was just talking about this issue last night!
I've decided to never say that a child looks exactly like mom, dad, relative-- ever again! It really bothers me.
My SIL is constantly remarking that my little one looks like her son-- ick! It actually makes me feel physically angry. I don't think he looks anything like his cousin (and they only share one grandparent so really there shouldn't be a big resemblance).
But now I realize that if people remark that my son looks just like me and my husband hears, I say thanks but I think he is a perfect mix and he looks like himself

MIL is always saying that DS looks like her. He doesn't. He actually looks just like me with DH's coloring.
A lot of people have said that he looks like my dad, but I look like my dad, so..

YES and it drives me nuts. Mil was so happy that looks exactly like Dh, however when he got older and started looking like me, she attribute some of his features are from my fil.
For example look at his dimples, he must have gotten it from his grandfather since Dh doesn't have them. Dh pointed out to her that I have super deep dimples. She swear she's never seen them. Ugh.

My MIL says things like, "Oh, LO is so good looking...Like her father." Or, "Oh, LO is so smart...Like her father."
Uh, hello???

Uhhhh my MIL always comments on how everything about my daughter (looks, personality, health issues) must come from her side. Even when I say something like "I'm not surprised she has a sensitive tummy since my mom and I both do" she gives an immediate rebuttal about how actually a lot of people in her family have sensitive stomachs so it comes from them. It makes me want to get violent! But I don't! : )

This would get on my nerves real quick! I look a lot like DH's sisters and I think LO will probably bear a strong resemblance to both sides of the family. But constantly pointing it out? Making it seem like LO has only DH's genes? Not cool.
FWIW, I hope LO looks just like his daddy but I wouldn't want to hear it from my inlaws that he didn't get any of my side in him.

DD looks exactly like DH. All of my in laws remind me of this every single time we see them.
