My MIL/SIL requested I send a list over asap of Xmas gift ideas for LO. I am so bad at coming up with wish lists! A few ideas I have are: pajama gowns, Spanish word book, amazon gift card, some outfits. She will be about 5 months in December. What would YOU wish for a 5 month old girl?

Think of the things you will be starting to do soon or that she can grow into- maybe starting solids, so if you don't have them, a highchair, plates, bowls, spoons, sippy cups, etc.
Do you have a bumbo, jumparoo or exersaucer?
More advanced toys- stacker toys, sorting toys, balls, piano/keyboard toys.
We got a Leapfrog Scout for Christmas, it was fantastic for around the 10 month mark in getting him to go to bed with less drama.
Just a few ideas of things we've used in the 6-12 month range.

How about a few toys like sensory balls or kick piano? My LO loved those at that age. Or if you want to plan for a few months down the line, shape sorter, xylophone and blocks are popular.

MIL bought my niece an exersaucer for her first Christmas & she was six months old. She loved it.

DS was only 5 months old at his first Christmas and my parents gave him a push/ride firetruck that he grew into and loved for years.

Jumperoo for sure! Madeline is 5 months and it's been a lifesaver.
How about some stuff to prepare to feed solids? We are just starting to buy that stuff now. I suppose that's not a "fun" gift, but it's very practical!
Toys for 6m+. We have nothing so we've been trying to accumulate things. I don't have any specific ideas haha, sorry!
Do you already have a high chair?
What about a snow suit of some kind? Robeez winter boots? Fleece sleepers?

I agree with thinking about some walk/ride toys and even maybe a reading chair. Think about what she may like in the next few months when sitting, pulling up, etc. They change SO fast at this age.

I am asking for a PBK anywhere chair for M (she'll be about the same age as your LO). And maybe some cute bibs from Etsy and other stuff for when we start solids.

A was about that age last year and she got: (from Santa and others), toys to last through the first year, clothes, books, a high chair, some movies for when she's older...

@lemondrop: I second the Leap Frog Scout/Violet toy. DD got one for Christmas last year and she loved it. Also, think about the things your LO might need between now and a year from now (or even until her birthday). Bath toys, push/walk behind toys, shape sorters....

@BabyBoecksMom: My IL's are getting C the next step up Scout for Christmas- Read with me Scout/Violet. We found it at Toys R Us the other day while looking for ideas. C loved it and didn't want to put it down! It has even more buttons, has sleepy time (our most used feature) and of course reads with the kiddo. That way we can give the old Scout to little sibling later on.

Wow thanks everyone! these are some great ideas!! I have to look up "jumparoo and exersaucers", haven't heard of these. Those and the Scout seem popular. I'm seriously writing everyone's suggestions , they're all great.
