I find if I try to bathe M before she eats, she is just a big ball of fusspot. What is your bedtime routine like? Does your lo eat, bathe, read and sleep or bathe, read, eat and then sleep? Something else?

Bathe, nurse, sleep!
Thinking about adding a short bedtime story right after the bath to incorporate my husband into the routine.

Bath, PJ's, Sippy of milk, Brush teeth, Sleep.
We just switched it up since she turned one. It used to be:
Bath, PJ's, Brush Teeth, Bottle, Sleep.
She's always so tired by bed time, we don't bother with a book. She just wants to sleep.

We do bath, massage, bottle from me or DH (LO is EBF but we give a bottle of BM at night). We used to do books but he would get so fussy and it made the bedtime routine too long so now we read books before each nap.
How long is your bedtime feed from her last feed?

We do bath, PJs, eat, swaddle, book, turn off the lights, rock for 3 songs (hush little baby, twinkle twinkle little star, itsy bitsy spider), sleep.
Oh geez, it seems like such a production when it's all written out like that but it's such a routine by now, it goes quick.

We only bath every other day, but we always do change diaper and clothes, eat, and then rock. When we bathe, it is first in that order.

nurse, dim lights, bath, massage, book or walking/rocking depending on how fussy she is, double swaddle, nurse, rocking.
LO is usually asleep by 9:30 and we start the process at 8.

- sleep

DD is almost 28m so this is our current routine: bath (only done every 2-3 days), diaper change, PJs, sit on her bed and read story, hugs/kisses and tuck in.
Our routine when DD was little and still nursing was: bath (only done every 2-3 days), diaper change, PJs, nurse while DH reads story (nursing sometimes went longer than story), hugs/kisses and tuck in.

@Sammyfab: well, she's only 6 weeks so we don't have a good schedule yet. Sounds like eating after bath is what most do... I'll have to work on the timing of that.

Mavrick - bath, pjs, milk, read books/ watch tv show, potty, brush teeth, bed.
Sienna - bath, cream, pjs, nurse, bed.

@mediagirl: oops! I wasn't asking about a schedule, but when LO was 6 weeks he ate almost every hour in the evening! I just asked because maybe you could start the bedtime routine a little earlier if she's fussing a lot at the beginning.

We tried bathing as part of our routine but she would get soo upset after. Now (at 9wks) it's just change diaper, pj, swaddle, nurse, sleep. If she doesn't fall asleep nursing thn DH has to bounce her to sleep.

Bath, book, feed, sleep... though sometimes we skip the reading part if he gets fussy

Bath, lotion/massage, pj's, nurse during story time (DH reads to DS while I nurse DD), swaddle, pacifier.
For DS it's bath, lotion, pj's, potty, brush teeth, story time, sip of water, prayers and kisses.

diaper change, pajamas, fan on, given pacifier, sleep sheep on (sometimes), rocked until he's asleep.
We don't always follow the same order every time, but he knows full well that jammies and rocking in the chair in his room mean that it's time to sleep. He starts fussing as soon as we put him down for a diaper change because he knows what's coming and he does not like to go to sleep.
