I'm irritated but wanted to get a read on whether I'm being unreasonable.

My in-laws, who are VERY well off, sent DH an unsolicited Christmas list of what they want for Christmas from us. This Irritated me because I just think that's so presumptuous to assume that we are ok spending the amount of money the gifts on their list cost. The kicker was that my step-MIL asked for one thing: Amazon gift cards. So basically she just wants us to give her money. A grow, well off woman who can afford anything she wants is asking for money from her kids. I honestly really like her and would have loved to give her something thoughtful (I already bought a necklace for her as part of her gift) so this just leaves such a bad taste in my mouth.

Am I over reacting? Should we just give her the gift card or go with something thoughtful?
