Now that it's getting colder out I'm looking for some good indoor sensory activities I can do with both of my LO's. I have a two year old and an 8 month old. We have things like play-doh and rice/oatmeal in a bin but that gets old after a while.
Share any indoor sensory activities that your LO enjoys, or if there are some ideas that you would like to try but haven't yet!

I like "cloud dough." It's 8 parts flour, 1 part oil (vegetable or baby work well.) Then just mix it up. It's a really fun sensory thing.
We also use pasta mix and beans in bins, which is a little less messy than oatmeal

I haven't tried yet but would like to .... Sensory bin, painting in a bag (would tape to our sliding glass door), finger painting in the bathtub, play doh

@Jess1483: haha no kidding, it's a disaster! The good news is that afterwards it forces me to clean the floors, which is my least favorite job I've never made cloud dough, I'm going to try that tomorrow!

* Corn starch and water mixed up in a tub feels awesome to play with
* Finger painting with edible paints like apple sauce, yoghurt, instant mashed potato and food colouring etc
* Make edible slime (I have a recipe if you want it) and use playdoh tools when they play with it
* Fill some squinty containers with vinegar and let them squirt it into bowls of baking soda till it fizzes
* Fill a tub with water, bath toys and sponges and let them wash their dolls, or just splash about in it

*Play with balloons - tie a bunch to ribbons and hang from a doorway.
*Make i-spy bottles - put small items in a water bottle and fill with rice. Don't forget to hot glue the lids on so they don't come off in little hands.
*Play with bubble wrap (hopscotch is fun)
*Make an obstacle course out of sofa cushions and pillows. Talk about the different textures as you crawl over them.

@littlejoy: I made one for my LO when she was about 6 months and she loves it because of all the good noise it makes. She likes to shake it and chew on the cap. There are lots of good ideas for them on the net/Pinterest.

Kinetic sand (or Sands Alive) with stones - we got some at Michael's with a 50% off coupon. My parents live at the beach and she had a hard time with the sand last summer. We picked up some rocks while we were there and I'm waiting for our next indoor day to pull it all out to play with!

My LO loves transferring ice cubes from bowl to bowl with a slotted spoon. So many good ideas in this thread!

One thing I liked to do was a bath, with either shaving cream or bath paints, always fun!
