Induced for first 24 hours after my water broke but contractions were irregular and weak. Natural birth for the second one. Labored at home all day, went in that night. Got to the hospital, water broke, then a little less than 30 minutes of active labor later, DD was born.

I voted for my mom. She was induced with my bro (her first) due to pre-e, with me (her second) she went into labor naturally and had me on her due date. And it was fast! She got to the hospital after breakfast and I was out by 10:30am.

@hellocupcake: I can't speak, as I was not induced and I am not pregnant with #2, BUT with #, my doctor told me, "I can't deny you an induction if you want one on or after your due date." So, for me at least, my doctor had zero problems letting me decide, so long as it was on or after the baby was due anyways.

I was induced at 39 weeks with DD1 because Dr was afraid she was going to be a big baby. Currently 38+ weeks with DD2 and when I brought up induction at my last appointment she had no problems with it at all. She said that my last induction went great and my cervix is favorable (dilated 3cm so far) so she scheduled it for Monday @ 39 weeks + 2 days. She did comment that she didn't think I would make it to the induction date but I have my doubts.

I am also answering for my mom but she was induced with all 4 of us. My pregnancy followed hers almost to the T so I"m just going to go in expecting to be induced with the 2nd, when that time should arise.

Induced with first for IUGR. No growth issues with second so I went into labor naturally. And yes I was so nervous about it because of logistics of someone watching DS, DH potentially being at work and a long ride to the hospital. The midwife said that worst case we would have to bring DS to the hospital with us while waiting for someone to arrive to watch him. And if you feel the urge to push on the way to the hospital call 911. Your DH can keep your LO and meet you at the hospital. Just make sure to let DH know when early labor starts because second time around it might be a short labor. Chances are you'll have more than a half hour for him to at least arrive home.
